Bozeforged
Hey Guys,
If you get a chance, pick up a copy of the Super Chevy issue that is on newstands right now. The '66 Chevelle on the cover (built by The Roadster Shop) is sporting our ZE Forged boost 3-piece wheels. Front 19x9, Rear 20x12 with Charcoal Centers and Brushed Satin lips. Here are a couple images of the Chevelle. Love em but I am a little bias.

Love that car, but man is that cross member low!
|
Very Niceee!!!!
|
SSSSICK!!!!!
|
Saw it at the goodguys show this summer. That is a killer car.
|
I just missed it running a the Air Ride track at GG Texas a couple of weeks ago. I stopped and looked at it later and it is a very nice car. Nice wheels also.
|
I took a ride in that car myself, because I was interested in there chassis.
The rear suspenion seems to bind when put in a tight corner other then that it is a good product that could use alittle slim fast and corrections. im Sticking with my schwartz chassis though because it is just a better all around foundation. The chassis is alittle more for the guy who wants a street rod looking chassis then a race inspired chassis. Now for those boze Damn I want to get a set for my GTO. I wonder if boze wants to help out with that? |

I was about to say something as well. Seems pretty damn respectable. These were considered boats at one point.:unibrow:

Rumor is that schwartz doesnt even build his own A-body Chassis.......I think they are built at some off site or seperate shop. I would take a roadster shop any day over the schwartz.
|
ahhaah
isnt that thing on 20s? and who says dubs cant perform.. |
Im not tryng to downplay the roadster shop chassis at all. I like it alot , but I just seem some area's that need improvement. But .98 is a very respectable number to say the least. The schwartz chassis is where I see the improvements in weight though over the Roadster shop chassis. I dont want to have to throw around any extra weight then I have too.
|
Thats probable true. Roadster shop builds there frames out of 4 peices 3 of them welded inside and out. Very strong.....and very nice looking. We have two of the tri five chassis.
|
I just find the 3x3 box tube alittle over kill and that is what geomtry and angles are for. Its funny though my car is going to be mostly muscle car, street rod and protouring. So I should want the roadster shop chassis, you would think. Question I have for the guys at roadster shop is do they offer Top of the line Ohlins coil overs?
|
has schwartz or pathfinder chassis, who btw is believed to make his chassis's ever released geometry numbers? thats who i believe schwartz has build the chassis's, to me the schwartz just has a different look to it, and i can bet the rs shops front geometry is better then the circle track set up his has. and the rear susp look nearly the same, triangle 4 bar

Hey Zak.... I also spoke to Larry about what we talked about. Looks good.
BTW... I like them too but I guess I am also biased ! |
I do not know what frame is better, I could not say as i have no experiance with either, but I do know that the RS car with a REAL slushy mush box transmission was in the top 5 at Run Thru the Hills, getting in the top 5 when DSE's Test car with 2 drivers could not. I have to think if that car had the mushy 4L60E sorted out and if it is was running one of Steve O's converters and paddle shifter instead of the set up it was running, that car would have been hard to beat.
I hate the low crossmember to, but would have to give it a hard look for one of these projects. |
Both the car and the wheels look mean  .

Thanks for all of the props on the car! Credit definitely has to go to the guys at Boze as well for building some killer wheels. We have another set of “Mesh” wheels on our next project coming out. It is definitely cool that a company like Boze is doing something different. So many of the wheel companies now have one way of building their wheel with no options for customization. No one wants to have the same wheels as the next guy in line. We chose to go with the Boze “Boost”wheel first because it was a good looking design that fit the car. The second, and main reason is because they will customize any of their wheels anyway you want it. Custom powder coating in any color or finish, and they are offered in brushed, satin, or polished finishes, and in any combination. You all have to check out the trick way they route the valve stem so it looks like one of the bolts holding the centers in. And they do custom center caps as a topper.

I wanted t address one issue that I have heard a few people bring up. That is the height of the crossmember. We are using DSE suspension in the front of the Chevelles. The same front crossmember, in the same location. It just looks lower on the Chevelle because it lacks the lower valance and chin spoiler that the Camaro has. It would be worse on a Camaro because that lower spoiler sticks out infront of the axle center line and would come in contact with anything before the tires would go over it and raise the car over the bump. And I haven't heard of too many Camaros ripping that front spoiler off, have you? We have over 1,500 miles on that car and there is not a scratch on the crossmember. And we drive it harder than most would ever think of!
We also have a new website launching soon. Please ceck it out to see all of our projects and info. http://www.rsperformanceconcepts.com |
I don't anyone would say anything about the crossmember if it was painted black.
