LOL! yeah i know its far away! i am waiting for him to give me the disc with some professoinal shots he had done, will put em on as soon as i get em, the car has a modified alter-k-ation front end , heidts independent rear, and an 02 viper with 6-speed for motivation, which it does quite well!! interior looks stock but panels are leather covered to match the modified vette seats to give it a classier feel inside, the woodgrain on dash and console is all airbrushed instead of mack-tack! the hockey stripes have the viper logo at the end and wheels are billet specialties rails.

Car looks good from that pic, would be nice to see better pics.

that's why I like mopars. damn!! :hail:

gionni 11-22-2007 01:48 AM

WOW!!!!! looks hot!!

krptonite 11-22-2007 04:54 AM

i never gave mopars a second look before i started on this cuda , but now i would love to build a cuda or challenger but damn! they cost about 3x the amount of doing a camaro or mustang , especially if you need to locate trim parts or items that are not available as copies yet, that is also part of the appeal though as you dont see many done in this style, most mopar guys are a bit anal about keeping them stock, thats why most even keep stock rims! when it went to moparfest in the summer i got a lot of comments about how great it looked but would have looked better with steel wheels:rolleyes: when the owner saw it on the ground the first time he said it was too low and we had to lift it an inch! he would still prefer it a bit higher but the shocks wont do it so he " puts up with it" :D

69 b5blue 11-22-2007 08:48 AM

I know what you mean. when I started to put my car together my dad wasn't liking the direction I was going with my car because he a purist mopar guy. But he is getting use to it.

h0tr0dder_uk 11-29-2007 12:39 PM

That looks awesome. I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of it when I visited the shop where my friend (kryptonite) works.

On a personal choice note - I would drop it back down that inch as it looks too much like one of barry whites super muscle cars (and they are arse high as well). keep everything else as it is - or give it to me :D

krptonite 11-29-2007 04:15 PM

hi pete. welcome to the site! if it was up to us it would have been slammed!! and if it was being given away you would be at the end of a long line i think:D :D now that you are on here make sure you check out the members rides, some awesome rides!!:hail:

How much work was it to shoe horn that v10 in there? Did you have to move the firewall and how bad was the setting up the harness? Any pics of the interior

krptonite 12-03-2007 08:43 PM

the firewall was set back about 5-6 inches but some of this was due to the alterkation crossmember as they were never designed for a viper motor, the oil pan is cast with the oil passages cast in so we couldnt easily modify it, i think i have seen one done with a stock firewall but it would n't do much for the handling that far forward. The harness was from street and performance but we had quite a few issues with wires being wrong way in terminals etc but our sparky sorted it, mopar list a stand alone harness in stock but you cant get it when you try and order it, i have no interior shots at the moment but it looks stock but much classier as its all leather covered and the woodgrain is airbrushed.

70ptta 12-04-2007 06:45 PM

By moving the firewall back did that set the shifter too far back? What did you do for headers?

krptonite 12-05-2007 05:47 PM

actually the shifter came thru in exactly the same place as original! we used the stock console, it just got covered in leather, we used the original viper headers, all we did was cut the bottom off as it is at the wrong angle and i welded a 90degree bend to it as it is stainless steel, then welded a triangular 3bolt flange to the bend, we wanted to build full headers but the client didnt think the cost was justified for what he wanted from the car.

XTRMEASURES 12-05-2007 06:16 PM

what size tires and rims are on the car

EvilTwin 12-05-2007 08:56 PM

Love the Cuda!! WOW!:hail:

You all are correct when you say that building a Mopar will cost you twice as much as building another make of car.... parts usually end up cost 1.5x to 2x more for my Challenger.

I would like to know the wheel/tire sizes too... did you lower the car?

krptonite 12-06-2007 07:59 PM

the wheels are 18 x 10 rear and 18 x 8 fronts , and are billet specialties "rail" the car is lower than stock but not as low as it could or should be if we had our way, i will have to try and find out tire sizes,

cudacanuck 12-17-2007 03:43 PM

Sorry to disappoint

Sorry to disappoint krptonite, but the car sits just right as it is. With the front up slightly, it doesn't look so much like a Barry White production - and doesn't bottom out so easily a la Steets of San Francisco. The posted shots were taken before the adjustment.

I'll hunt around for some more shots....including the interior.

krptonite 12-18-2007 04:43 PM

hey there! bout time you joined in, people like your car:D sort me some interior shots and i will load them here for you.

Herb68 01-31-2008 10:26 AM

What an awsome conversion! This is the first time I have seen this combo, and I love it.
