For '55 Chevy fans...
I really like the Fikse wheels that I'm told is what Dale Jr. has on his Camaro. They give the look I want on a '55 Chevy project I'm starting. Allkar did some nice work adding the wheels and giving the '55 Nomad rear quarter look to this image I had. It's not my car but has the 2 tone paint effect which I may want to incorporate, just not that green.

Al the photoshop artist who worked on this project added a yellow I want to make this to stand out and added the smooth style bumper. http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...alnailedit.jpg I'll call it either Project BeStung or Project RumbleBe -:) http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...rchopdalej.jpg |
Looks good! I love Fikse wheels too!!

I agree! Gives it a nice updated look without being too modern!

wheels look good, but DONT cut the 1/4 panels

Those wheels look great, especially with the yellow and black.

This is my friend Tom Simmons 55 Convert that I built some one-off wheels for. We thought about doing the centers black but he opted for all polished.

Another chop someone did. Don't think I've seen this shade gold/copper ever with the black. Skip http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...ddedcopper.jpg |
are those renderings? Wow.

I agree with Kenny DO NOT CUT THE QUARTERS....

This is a never ending debate, I tried hard to like the stock quarters for years. Don't and won't:) Skip |
I love the Fikse's as well. Gives the car a whole different look than the normal polished billet wheel IMO. I have to agree with Travis & Kenny - don't cut the qtr's. I have 20X11 Iforged wheels w/ 305/45's on my 55 and I will attest it is a bitch getting the wheels off with stock wheel wells - but worth the effort!! The rendering's look killer and Tom's car is an awesome piece.

I agree don't cut the quarter. I can build you a chassis that you can get the wheels off and have it as low as you want. I have 55 convertible in the works currently that will be a bad ass car. I was looking at Fikse wheels, full C6 corvette drive train, I have my name on the list for an LS9 and we are looking at building a retractable hardtop like a lot of european cars.
If you need some help on those Fikse wheels I'm a dealer and can help you out on the price. Here are some wheels we got in yesterday. They are anodized black, the pic is hard to take but man they are sweet. |

For all you 'stock quarters' guys.
I feel your pain... I have no choice, the car is coming with no quarters and a sheetmetal vendor is donating lots of sheetmetal as long as I use his brand Nomad quarters! That's my story and I'm sticking to it:unibrow: Skip |

Thanks Skip..Although at this point you probably have more interest in it than me!! :D Just kidding. Mine is coming along very slowly - but it is moving forward. Should have been done along time ago. Something called life has made me prioritize things different. Between new job, 2 kids under 3 etc really has slowed the progress - but were still hacking away at it! I respect your opinion on the qtrs. To each their own - that's what keeps this hobby alive and well!! Brent |

[QUOTE=ironworks]....Because If you build a nice chassis like that I doubt you want to use block hugger headers.[QUOTE]
