Project "ENVY" Hermance Design

Ben Hermance has done another outstanding drawling and he really went out of his way for me.

http://www.fquick.com/images/vehicle...4848228398.jpg

Thanks to Ben I can finally show you what my plans are. The Idea behind it was to create a classy looking, not racey, but yet still a pro touring car. Were slowly getting there. this year has been a productive year taking care of all the body work, fire wall, DSE sub frame connectors, The rear seams have been filled in, no door or trunk locks, all emblems have been shaved. The drive train will be a mild LS1 build with a 4l60E with Trans n go shift kit, Red line clutches,Auto paddle shifter and converter. The rear is a new 12 bolt from moser along with the G bar along with a DSE mini tub. Front suspension includes upper and lower speed tech arms, Coil over shocks and a Lee sterring box.

The interior will be custom with the DSE dash, 4th gen console and maybe back seat if I can make them fit. Front seats are undecided and the budjet will make that decision.

Anyway I just wanted to share my vision along with Bens design and see what you think. If it wasn't for Laterial G and all the people I have met thru this sight my original plans was just a restoration with a big block.

Now back to ENVY. I love both the street fighters (which is more of what I have) and the performance PT cruisers, like ENVY...I dig this car!!

ProdigyCustoms 12-08-2007 08:16 AM

Wow what a incredible choice of colors! I just love the saddle interior in the green car, almost..............Aston Martinish!

I am in the process of moving into my new shop. Everything has to be done, build office (is now roughed out), add wiring for machines, more lighting and the list goes on.

The mirrors are coming, as soon as the machines are up I will start proving them out. I will be making them for the 2nd gen f-body and the 73-77 Chevelle mirrors. There are more differences other than the mounting base.

We will probably offer them two ways...

One as a complete unit including housings (limited to supplies), new glass, new motors, wiring and switches.

The other will include all the above except the housings for those who already have the mirrors housings. I am thinking that we will offer this kit as a DIY or you can send us your mirrors and we will retrofit them for you.

I will post it here as soon as we get close.

Thanks Frank, Ben did two rederings and one with graphite and one with Tan. I like the tan my self, I was looking for the best of both worlds when I decided to build this car. Luxury and PT

Your going to be sorry you said that. I'll put you up for a weekend when I'm ready to wire this thing up. That's the only thing I'm worried about. I can handle the body work ,interior and the engine. but I'm lost when it comes to electric.

Here are some more cut in shots. Most of the big stuff is finished, so it won't be long now. The color choice is right on the money but I'm having a hard time getting a good picture of it.

Moose 06-06-2008 05:22 AM

I really like the color. The tan interior will be so classy.

Are you doing all of the paint out of your garage?:wow:

bigtyme1 06-06-2008 08:12 PM

Being a painter, when I designed the garage I planed for the exhuast sytem and the curtain just for that reason. but to be honest because I'm a little concerned about dust I will most likely rent a booth when it comes time.

Spiffav8 06-06-2008 10:16 PM

ENVY....isn't that the name of a porn star? :_paranoid

Nice color!

I see you are only about 1-1/2 hours from me (I'm in Ijamsville, MD). Let me know when it comes time to wire and I'll see if I can make a road trip... I actually love wiring.

Shiny Side Up!

Did you decide on front seat yet? What seats are in the rendering? Those look nice.

To be honest I forget what we started with, ask Ben

Hdesign 06-08-2008 07:29 AM

I sorta designed some generic aftermarket seats...I guess they most closely resemble Scat Procars with a custom tan leather wrap.
