Mali2ude went to paint today

Luckily for me Jim Ramirez is going to bail me out. He painted this car which later became Incinerator, the eight-turbo 57 convertible.

Here's some parting shots of my car.

Guess I missed it, but what was ever decided on for the color and wheels? Either way I'm sure it's gonna look killer.

the darker color (diamond graphite Infiniti) with the 5 spokes for now, and likely the 10 spoke charcoal Forgelines if I can save enough pennies before Power Tour.

Good for you, Jody - you have to be completely jazzed right now. We all are looking forward to seeing the outcome! BTW - both wheels look cool, but the Forgelines are my favorite. Especially seeing what's under the hood.

- KO

thanks Kevin. Actually, when I dropped it off at Jim's today he mentioned that he was in a SEMA video, and I figured out it was one of yours!

he's about 1 minute in, at the back of the car checking out the paint; dark hair, glasses, moustache/goatee.

Congrats Jody! This is obviously a major step. I think I still like both wheels equally but for different reasons. It's tough to beat a well proportioned 5 spoke for having a classic bruiser look. On the other hand, the high tech multi-spokes give it an elegant racer look especially with the graphite paint. You really can't go wrong IMO.

zbugger 12-08-2007 10:48 PM

That's great news, Jody. Now we know it'll actually get done. I can't wait to see the finished product. I'll absolutely make a special trip out there just for that.

Tom.A 12-09-2007 12:09 AM

Congrats. Can't wait to see your car finsihed. It's gonna be a show stopper.

awr68 12-09-2007 01:51 AM

Nice! Jody.
I agree with KO.
But on my TT 67 Ford, I'm sticking with the 5 spokes due to budget.

Ricochet 12-09-2007 11:22 AM

Glad Jim was able to make it happen for you Jody. Car is going to look killer that color. I just may have to see how that color looks on the car cause you know I'm knocking on the door...I'm next in line at Jim's!!

no, that was a twin turbo LT1, this is a twin turbo LS2

Steve1968LS2 12-09-2007 04:00 PM

You know, if you wouldn't have started with such a beater you wouldn't of had to rebuild the whole car..

Then again, I should talk... The car is going to be killer in that color.. keep us updated.

ProdigyCustoms 12-09-2007 04:23 PM

Love the color. Was a little apprehensive off the cream. I think this is much better.

Congratulations. I have seen that 57 and it looks killer. Sounds like it is in capable hands.

awr68 12-09-2007 05:05 PM

So now what do you do for the next few weeks? Family time?

Rybar 12-09-2007 05:58 PM

Congrats Jody, love the color choice and both wheel designs. Great idea on wrapping your frame to prevent overspray.

Not to be picky, but wouldn't that be "Mali - too - ude" ?

Of course, I get people asking me what "Eye Eye Much" means. :)
