The Last 68
 

hi guys im a newbie here , well i just purchased a 68 camaro restoration project . in my eyes it is gonna be the camaro i always wanted and it will be the last 68 ....reason being thru events in my life ive restored 9 of these cars , rs , ss, convertables and ect ...all of those gotten sold due to money issues . now that im more secure im gonna build mine to stay with me . fortunatly it is a standard camaro , but ill add my options , going rs style , ive got my L88 hood in carbon fiber and the others to accent the hood , im pickuping my block and heads (462 bb )and using a tremec trans too , gauges are going to be autometer carbon fiber style . lots more to come !!ill post pics as i get parts :cool:

L88 hoods are bad ass. I have been waiting to see a Pro Touring car with one on it.

just got the carbon cowl panel :unibrow: ill have to take pic ....bought it from a member here he hooked my up good with fast shipping :hail:

i also just found a 454 block and heads that just left the machine shop . may steal that for 300 beans

its gonna even look more killer with all 3 pieces , hood, cowl panel , and header panel :thumbsup: ,with a black paint job and satin black back panel with pop cap gas fill will finish it off

Sounds more like you are going for the Baldwin Motion look than RS.
We had an L88 hood on a 73 Baldwin Motion Clone back 15 years ago.... I love that look !

well it is just as i built my 32 ford it is how i like it and mix it up a little but keep it tastefull and sellable if it comes to that but ...like i said i first post LAST CAMARO

well ive been gathering parts , almost have the entire nose already , gm fenders, carbon hood and cowl , lower valance , gm fender wells . got to recoupe some money now ....wife will kill me .....hope i make the morgage:_paranoid .....

but as i inspect the car i bought seems like the guy pieced in a new frame rail ..bad welding and seeming , so it looks like im going to go with comp engineering frame rails and frame connectors . four link and 9in from heidts is in its future as well.. well thats all for now but soon as possible ill have pictures when the wrenches start =swingin :cheers:

thanks guys for the replys , right now im building up my parts pile piece at a time then when finished i lock myself in the garage and thrash with the wrenches , i think in a week im going to get my tremec 5 spd ....gonna be cool , for sure :unibrow:

rear bumper
carbon header panel
tko 600 5 speed trans
schwartz chassis and winters rear w floating axels
flaming river tilt column w billet steering wheel
sequential tail lights w new tail light bezels 67 style
covans center dash and gauge cluster in carbon
and the list goes on but that is the cool stuff that is on the way :thumbsup:
