Hey Mark (MarkM66) Show Us Yer Car
I had the honor of meeting and hanging out with Mark and his bro at G-G Columbus. I'm blown away by his freshly completed black Nova. He's been very sneaky by not showing us any project pix, so now I'm calling him out.
Show us the goods Mark!! |
I will, I will! I tried taking some with my '00 model HP Camera, and it didn't work so well, ;) . My bro has a better camera, so I'll get some up soon.
Good talking to you too! :) |
Dammit!! I didn't get to meet him.. or see his car.
I drove and drove and drove and drove around that stupid show and I can't believe how many cars I didn't find.. Didn't find Marks.. Didn't even find that blue Nova (the budjet build) car we shot.. the place is so spread out it is easy to miss stuff.. Now show us some damn pics of the Nova! |
Steve,
Mark's car would have made a very nice top 10 pic. It's a sweet car that's completely home built--paint, upholstery and all. Your readers will really relate to its real-world build. |
Steve, you must of been a busy man. There are a ton of cars spread out there, many I'd like to see too but didn't. But we did actually meet, I was the guy talking to the other Steve in this thread before the "Top 5" presentation. I knew it was you when I saw your shirt, then I introduced myself. Is it coming back to you, ;) .

Well, it was nice to meet you even if it was brief and we will hang out more next time.. oh, and email me some damn pics of your car and a list of features. We like to have future features in the bag. |
Yep, somehow I missed all you guys. The show was massive huge on a mega scale. It was overwhelming the number of cars and the number of things I missed!
Yikes! I don't remember seeing the black Nova either. It is all a blur now. |
I'm sorry I did not get to meet you Chris. Seeing your 69 and shaking your hand was on my list of things to do. I'll look you up next time I'm in FLA.
|
Still working on getting some pics. I'll get some this weekend for sure, .
Here's one someone else took at Columbus; http://www.jennstratton.com/carstuff...ges/gfx_84.jpg |
OOOO a nice teaser! Thanks for that...looks awesome, but of course, we need more!
Thanks Tim! |
Although It'd be nice to see more, it looks sweet, Mark.
You moving on to the 66 yet? |
definitely holding out
|
Very nice, can't wait to see the rest of the pics.
|
I'd have to say that's a gorgeous Nova!
|
Thanks all. I sent some pics to Scott, so I'll be able to post some more soon. :)

That is Purdddyy. I love the engine! Is that just a breather across the two valve covers? Is that all powdercoated? Have all these ?s been answered already and I just dont like to read? NICE!
That was fast Scott, you are good with this stuff...thats why the site is awesome. Tim |
Yeah, there is a crossover tube, with two breathers in it. Valve covers, breathers and air cleaner lid were painted and cleared.

Wow! That black paint is slick!
I saw this car at the show. Didn't realize it was yours. Very nice! |
The pictures don't do it justice. Since the family has an upholstery shop, they were able to add padding to the side bolsters. And that black paint was done in the family garage.
It's all good except for the fact that Mark always seems to score original grandma cars. That really burns my biscuits  |

Actually, the whole car was built in my home attached garage. My daily driver has to sit out, but that's fine. But my brother just built a nice big shop, so no more garage builds, . |
That is the best looking Nova I have EVER seen, hands down.
I can only imagine what it would look like with a DSE mini tub kit on it. Damn. Tyler |

Someone should buy the car from me, and do the DSE tub, ;) . |
Sweet Nova, real nice, love the Gassers still thinking of them for myself.
