Mali2ude paint pics
I wasn't going to post any pics yet, as the paint has not been color-sanded and buffed, which makes a huge difference. The painter and I decided to do the color sand and buffing in a couple months, after the paint has settled completely. I changed my mind and will post a few pics to give an idea.
The original color I bought was the darker rendering color, Infiniti diamond graphite. But we did a spray out and the color looked off, so I took it back and had then tint it. Then did another spray out and it now looked very metallic(y). So I went with another color I really liked, darker, but very pretty. BMW sparkling graphite is the choice, has a very fine metallic and mica (pearl). Beautiful in the sun, but kinda dark in the shade. I'm still very happy with it and Jim Ramirez (my painter) did an awesome job getting the car straight and color shot. Here's a few pics, will have many more as the car goes back together for Power Tour. http://www.camcojb.com/mali2ude/body/malitude%20206.jpg http://www.camcojb.com/mali2ude/body/malitude%20207.jpg http://www.camcojb.com/mali2ude/body/malitude%20210.jpg http://www.camcojb.com/mali2ude/body/malitude%20212.jpg |

Jody, you should really reconsider your choice of wheels... I really expected more from you.
Obviously kidding! Paint looks sweet. Are you ready to put it back together or are you waiting for other bits and pieces? |
Wow Jody that looks awesome! Has a real nice "depth" to it. The body lines really jump with that color. Great choice! -Rob

Love the color, and can't wait to see it come together. Even without the color sanding it still looks great! Nice Choice.
But can we talk about your choice in dogs? You have built some seriously mean cars, but I don't know if that pup is up for the challenging of protecting that assets haha!;) :D  Tim |

Came out very sweet. I really like how body line shadows look. Good choice. :hail:

That's a darker color then I thought you were going with Jody? I also like it much better. That's going to look so bitchen. I can't wait to see it.

Jody that color is AWESOME! How are the bumpers, trim, etc going to be finished? Chrome, painted, other.

sorry Jeff, hit edit instead of quote.............. :P keeping the stock chrome bumpers and polished stainless trim around the windows. The hood chevelle lettering and peak trim, drip rail, and wheelwell mouldings were removed when Mark did the car. Jody |
thanks everyone, the comments are appreciated. I like the color, but understand it's not everyones cup of tea. Should look good with the carbon fiber and grey tones under the hood and in the interior.

I think it kicks ass. That color really makes the body lines looker sharper. Can't wait to see more.

Looks awesome Jody & Jim. Now you are on the downhill slide. Keep them progress pics coming:thumbsup:

Jody, have you decided on wheels yet? It seems like I remember you had it narrowed down to two different styles?? I can't wait to see your car done....

yeah, I already have the Vintage Wheel five spokes and was also looking at the Forgeline 10 spokes. The darker paint color may change that though, might not want a dark wheel on the car with darker paint. Maybe keep lighter spokes, not sure. http://www.camcojb.com/jody_silverDARK_oldschool.jpg http://www.camcojb.com/jody_silverDARK_HRE.jpg Jody |
By the way Jody, cool dog!
I think the five spoke would be killer Kevin |

and I already have those wheels, so initially that'll be the look. Not my dog, belongs to the painter. He's got more than one! Jody |
