I present to you... Project "RACEstang"

I got this car for virtually a song. The kid said it had a blown motor... well, not really. Just had a really really warped header, causing the kid to think that he blew a head gasket. I plan on turning it into a B prepared SCCA road race car. Anyone need any interior parts?!?

If you need some help on Maximum Motorsports or Wilwood stuff let me know. I have set up a few mustangs to go fast at the track.

It is amazing how many parts are avalible for those cars.

Hey Eric, that car is WAY too nice to cut up and turn into a race car - it should be restored to it's former state....

Ok, my impression of the car's former owner may not come across so well here :-)

I'm looking forward to helping Eric build and learn how to drive. We are picking up the RaceStang Sunday with my tow rig.

It will only be a matter of time before I'm watching his tail lights on the track.

Tom

Are you going to swap engines? I think mustangs are perfect for what you are doing with it, and without breaking the bank. Good luck

Yea, i have to admit, my impression of the previous owner is fairly bleak, but hey, i got a good price :D

Once again, i have to say that i'm very appreciative of Tom and all the help he has given me, including this Sunday with help towing the heap back!

Oh, and just because i'm passing you on the track is not a direct reflection of how i feel about our friendship... "it's just business" as the Godfather said

Dude,
I don't know about everyone else, but when I clicked on the second photo (drver's side rear) I got pictures of a lot more than a car!

ArisESQ 02-22-2008 11:17 AM

i dunno if you care about aesthetics at all on the car, but i always though the FR500 wheels looked perfect on that body style, and they aren't really all that expensive either.

On top of the pic there are some random internet links, and some are pretty explicit. No worries.
