g-bodys
I ve owned over 30 rides and one of my favorites was a 78 mailibu I had with a 350 that I installed a t-56 in back around mid 1998. I had that one for years and it was unique for this area but was sacrificed when we bought our first house. Now several states, several houses, and several f-bodies later I have an 84 Grand national. Work is progressing very slow on it but its a driver. Plans change daily but I love the LSX BLOCKS. Not sure that will happen but currently more on restoration salvage mission, modifying where I know I want change. I really need to do a frame off and notch rear rails, weld up seams, and box frame. I just havent taken the leap yet. Lots of G-body lurkers on here, I know. Check out Its notagn on turbobuick.com He built a turbocharged 6 liter Ls series gn. It runs 10's on 6 or so lbs of boost

79 Olds Cutlass wagon
Needed a new shop truck so I picked up this one for $300. It had grille damage from a whoops in the snow, had a worn front suspension a Th250 that slipped once in a while and a bad running 305 Chevy with 35,000 on a rebuild. Ran a 22.10 @ 61 on a G-tech as I bought it. Fixed the timing and got the secondaries to open, ran 18.79 @ 74 at the track, 4500 ft altitude. Added the following...
.030 2 bolt 400 SB Chevy Stock bottom with ARP bolts rebuilt factory junk heads XE268 cam Air Gap dual Plane Modified Q-jet Hedman intermediate Headers 3" single exh. w/40 series Flowmaster With a stock TH350 and 2.41 7.5 rear it runs 15.70's @ 87, 4500ft. altitude. I hit 2nd gear @ 5000 just before the 1/8 lights, go through the lights on the long end at 4200 in 2nd. Whiplash blistering 2.45 60' time. Hmmmmm... Recent additions- new front suspension parts and 3" drop Coming soon- 700R4 and 3.73's out back full length headers AFR 195 heads 13's at the track and will tow my race car there too. |

Would love to go to at least 17" rims and tires, and bigger brakes Eventually paint and Body work Then whatever else I think I need or can do. Trying to do all this on a budget Just acquired a nice set of 245/50/16 tires for free..... theres a start |
