April 08 Feature: Jeff Hanson's 69 Camaro

The April 08 Feature car of the Month is Jeff Hanson's 69 Camaro, Tech 9. It's a bad ass Camaro that has incredible attention to detail. Don't let the beautiful exterior fool you, there's a hard core g-machine lurking beneath.

We've all watched this project come together, so it's really cool to be able to make Jeff's car the Feature of the Month.

Jeff sent a bunch of video, be sure to check it out HERE.

Congrats!

Thanks guys! Thank you very much Scott, for picking my car for the feature. It means a lot and I greatly appreciate it. You did an awesome job on setting up the page. It looks great. It had to be a lot of work with all the pics I sent! I basically had a 1 day window to get the pictures taken with all the weather we've had here. I will hopefully get to drive it more than a few hundred feet soon. Anyway, thanks again for the feature and for everything you do to make this the best site on the web! Good luck with your car and we'll all be waiting patiently to see it all come together!

Congrats on the feature Jeff! I have known Jeff for a looooooong time, and I know how much time and effort they put into this car...and it shows. It really is visually stunning in person...mixed with an extremely capable chassis and powertrain. To say it is detailed to the max is an understatement. Beautiful car...now I am just waiting for my ride in it!

:woot:

Jeff, your car is flawless. Your attention to detail makes the whole package look incredible. What 3-stage paint is that?

7TSS 04-02-2008 11:39 AM

Wow!! Killer car. All the subtle changes make the car stand out. :hail:
Any chance of posting a bigger pic like the intro (in front of the garage) so I can use it as a desktop?? :unibrow:

Payton King 04-02-2008 11:49 AM

Let me see if i can sum up the car...

WOW!

What do you say about a car such as yours? Just a fantastic machine!

Congrats on letting your project get completely out of control, don't they all.

Bring it to Year One this year. I would love to see it in person.

The mirrors are from Vision Hot Rods. Personally they are one of my favorite parts of the whole car!

That's the nicest console I've seen in a camaro. Have you got any other pictures of it. Great job on the car.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! I built the center console myself and just posted some more pics of the car in the project updates section. There's a couple more of the console in all those pics. It was quite a bit of work, not only to get it to fit to all the different contours of the car, but to figure out how to install it and everything that is in it, because it goes all the way to the firewall. You can't get to anything when it's installed, so I had to figure out the best process to install it and hook everything up. Hard to explain, but even harder to do! It's something that you have to constantly think about as your building it. If I do this, I can't do that. If I do that, I can't do this. You get the idea. That stupid thing to a lot longer to finish than I ever thought it would. Ofcourse, when it's only me doing it, and I have a full time job, everything takes longer.:willy:

Herb68 04-16-2008 11:34 AM

This has to be my favorite Camaro of all time! I ran across a picture of it on the web a while back, and it has been on my desktop for some time.

The interior is so well thought out it looks understated. Carbon fiber often looks overdone and out of place, but it is spot-on with this car. The carbon fiber hockey stripe and gauges are the icing on the cake.

With the extensive use of DSE components, this car must handle as good as it looks!

I don't see a single thing I would have done differently (that is, if I had anywhere near the skill to come close).

Speechless... Need I say more? I don't think so! :faint:
