Dse Deep Tubs From 2.75 To 4.75???
I have been on Mikes custom cars web site looking at Kjells 69 Camaro. Can anyone tell me how he's getting these DSE Deep tubs from 2.75 inchs to 4.75 inchs ?? I can see in the pictures on album five that he extended the wheel lip,I understand this. But what I do'nt understand is ,did he narrow the trunk floor and frame rails?? to get the extra 2.00 inchs. None of the pictures show. Its such a perfect clean fit I would love to do this for the extra tire width and ride hight:yes:

If you look closely from pic 12 + you can see that the rails were moved inboard quite a bit.

Extra large tubs
Hi Guys Mike is developing a st of frame rails to do what he did on Kjel's car. If you shoot him an email he can let you know when they will be ready. He did a slick job on the trunk floor too, to alot of people they won't even notice it has no well in it . Mike is doing my car I stink at posting pictures so Its not on here . Check under Wayne in projects section.

Thats why I brought my car from Ma. to him. I drove to N.Y. to see one he did and that convinced me he was the guy to do my car.

Did you see the price. $1100 that seems alittle steep to me. Most of us are planning on running a aftermarket 4 link. I think you would be better off using straight rails like the ones from 21st century and getting a different tank. With these rails that he has you still need to modify the trunk pan and get a aftermarket tank.
I really dont see the advantage. JMO |

Guys check out this pic of the new rails.
I really love what Mike is doing here, was going to do something similar myself but he beat me to it. Mike's work is top notch. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...1/MCCRAILS.jpg |
Mike says you can fit a 17" tire in a 69 Camaro with his new rails.

Looks good! Do you have to use a c/o based suspension or will leafs with off-set shackles still work?

That's very cool. I'd love to see some pics once the exhaust and tank are installed. That's going to be one very unique set up. Is Mike making a tank for you as well?
