Project Sinister Update:
Well Its been a long time since the car has been worked on.
I had alot of life type things that had to be taken care of before the car could get worked on again. I loosely hung all the sheet metal on the car and, put it on a trailer to have the guys at Bruning Auto Design get all the door gaps perfect, and the panels aligned correctly. I wanted the doors to look like a modern european car with the nice tight gaps. The Guys at B.A.D. are top notch. Tim is a top notch fabricator that worked on both the Realmad and Newmad at Steve's Auto Restoration. I think in just a few short years B.A.D. will be one of the Northwest's top shop to have your car worked on. Here is there current project https://lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=11358 Here are some pics they sent me on the progress of the car. There are some cool mods that will be done to the car, I just got to make sure I don't go way over budget. Some of the real cool stuff might not happen till later this year or next. As I get new pics I'll keep this updated. http://www.automotivedesigneng.com/g...o/DSC01487.JPG http://www.automotivedesigneng.com/g...ver_before.jpg http://www.automotivedesigneng.com/g...in_process.jpg http://www.automotivedesigneng.com/g...iver_after.jpg http://www.automotivedesigneng.com/g...iver_after.jpg |

Some more pics.
The gaps at the bottoms of the doors were pretty big, so they added some metal to them, and closed the gap so all the gaps on the car are even. Also they filled in the front camaro emblem holes. It feels good to know they are great metal fabricators and welders. http://www.automotivedesigneng.com/g...-21-08_018.JPG http://www.automotivedesigneng.com/g...-21-08_019.JPG http://www.automotivedesigneng.com/g...-21-08_021.JPG |

I will posting some updates in the next couple weeks... |
Cool, iv missed the updates Tj lol
|
okay latest update is the front bumper.
I have looked at lots of 69 camaro's with metal bumpers and endura bumpers. Some look nice and tight and some look like they are pulled away from the body too much. I just like the look of a tucked in bumper. Tim has been busy tucking the front bumper. Also I don't plan on running a front plate so I had him get rid of the license plate fangs on the bumper. The rear is next. http://www.automotivedesigneng.com/g...update_008.jpg http://www.automotivedesigneng.com/g...update_009.jpg http://www.automotivedesigneng.com/g...update_010.jpg |

What happened with the pro charger?
|
Still got a procharger. I had the GTO brackets but it doesn't fit in engine compartment so you have to use the Corvette brackets.
here is a shot of it in place. http://www.automotivedesigneng.com/g...harger_003.JPG |

Rear Bumper updates to come...... http://www.automotivedesigneng.com/g...-16-08_062.JPG http://www.automotivedesigneng.com/g...-16-08_064.JPG http://www.automotivedesigneng.com/g.../7-30-08_4.JPG |

Should be done to all camaros in my opinion |
Looks great! Nice, tight, and clean looking!! I need to make my way over there!!
|
Well the bumpers on 1st gen Camaros look like they were an after thought,
especially the rear bumper. The rear bumper looks so out of place. Its one continuous shape all the way around and the ends extend to far and they are real close to the side marker lights. The treatment that we are going to do to the rear bumper is going to be pretty cool. |
