Members car?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-...em280224147840
How did I miss this project build up? Is it a members car? |
I don't know if the owner posts here, but the builders do.
The car was in Baer's booth in 06 from what I recall, built by Kevin and his crew at Campbell's Auto Restoration. Tyler |
That's my buddy Broscoe's car. He said he was looking to sell it and or trade it. He doesn't post, but he is a member here under torque_monster. He didn't give a parts list on the ads (he should have) but that would have taken a week just to mention parts and custom one off stuff.

that car is amazing... it had a feature in phr but i dont recall if it was a cover car...
|
I saw the feature in PHR, but the Ebay ad was 10 better. I had no idea that was that bad ass. That thing is killer.

Wow! I can't even imagine how many hours are in that car. Looks like a fun car drive though.
|
Here's a story I did on the car.. heck, I even took the pictures :)
http://www.popularhotrodding.com/fea...aro/index.html It's a shame he's selling it... Sometimes I don't get how you put that much time and money in a car then sell it. Then again, I should talk. Very well built car, nice detail work. |

Oh, and sorry, but seeing the car in person is WAAAAYYYYY better than the ebay ad, or the article. It sounds as insane as it looks. I saw it at the last Goodguys show in Pleasanton. Some kid walked up to it wirh his friends and commented on how badass the car was, and then said "Check out the Hoosier's. Oh, wait... Those are only the radials." He saw that I heard him say that, and got real quiet and walked away. Coulda been because I was laughing at the comment, but I couldn't help it. |

Nice car... No disrespect intended, but $ 275K is out of line in my opinion.... I would take $165K buy now for MIZFIT 69 Camaro way before shelling out another 110K..
Market and economy is very soft and the insane market 2 years ago is over too... Blessings, |

No hard feelings Steve, but you did not show any pics like this....
I have seen a million Camaros, and I have seen this one in person, but I did not know it looked like this underneath. That thing is one of the most thought out Cars I have seen in a while. So please don't hold out on the goodie bag, I just love build photos. Rodger |

To All:
These are some pretty good additional pictures on the Ebay Link. Does anyone here know how to Download the Enlarged Pictures off Ebay to be saved in a file as a .jpeg? I would REALLY like to save these for future reference, but I'm not sure how. Thanks, Ty |

Right click. Save picture as. |
Very cool car. I love the BBC!
But for a $275k car. That ebay ad really needs some work. 3 pictures of the finished car, with none showing close ups of the body. Trunk, door jams, gaps etc. Zero of the interior? Discription is very hard to read, all caps, no paragraphs or any type of organization. I see so many poor ads on ebay, then the seller wonders why it didn't sell. |

I agree, if you want $275K for a car then you need a $275K add. But again the person who would buy this car may know just what it is and does not need a fancy add. But if you are not aware of what this car is, then you may dissmis it because of the add. |
Wow!
What a bad ass ride.
Steve your article was good and I know the car can do the deal, but the build picture really show where the money was spent. But I am one of those weird people that would rather see build photos than the finished car. In the words of Farris Bueller..."If you have the means, the car is so choice" |
Broscoe's Camaro
Well, guys as part of the build team I can tell you that the car is truely killer!
One of the things Steve didn't say in PHR is how fast the car really is, the last run down the strip we had 1 of the clutch disc say see ya at a little past the 1/8 mile, the thing is the car was doing 108mph at half track, not bad for a 4000 lb car with a 3:0 rear gear starting in second and skating down the track on road race tires. We have also done some more suspension tuning after we did the deal at Fontana, which by the was it first true test as all the break in testing was done on the street with Michilen Pilot Sports, just not same as a closed track with race rubber (well o.k. a parking lot), so there have been improvements in handling, drivetrain and such. Roger you are right the underside is as awesome as the top. In regards to the interior the car took a first in class last year at the Sac Auto-Rama. The roll cage and lower dash are painted charcoal grey metalic with clear, with black Recaro's and Porsche carpet and custom panels. By the way the window switches are in the ash tray. I can also say that 275,000 is a deal for this car!!! Kevin |
