Anyone interrested in Lateral-G emblems to put on their cars?
 

I talked with Scott a litte bit about making emblems for this site. They can be CNC out of steel, aluminum, wood, or plastic. I am willing to make them for for anyone. I think they would be a great accent to present the site.
If you are interrested let us know. Any other feedback is appreciated too.

I think that's a good idea. It'd look cool to run them on the front fenders instead of the Camaro logo but with the "RS" & "SS" logos.Make it look factory :thumbsup:

On my 69 Camaro I have emblems on my rear quarter windows. They can be put on with double sided tape or epoxy. By the end of this year I will have several on my car to sponsor these great sites. They have given so much to me now its my turn to give back. :) With all the car shows I attend every year, they get plenty of attention.

Adam, have you made any of them yet? I would be interested in a couple cut out of aluminum.

No scott and I wanted to see how much of a demand for these there would be before I got involved with them. If they are aluminum the best way will be a laser cut all the way thru since getting small stuff like this Milled out doesnt seem to be going in the direction I wanted. CNC laser is my quickest option. If we get more replies and interrest then we will do it. Even if no one else wants any, I will still put one on my car.

Well, our Chevelle is completely debadged but I wouldn't mind sticking one on the glove box...

Hang in there everyone. I am almost finished with the design portion of the emblems so I can send them to the CNC machine. The way I did these is like nothing else I have ever done. Scott has seen a couple "sneak previews". :unibrow:

Ok here you go everyone!! This is the most detailed emblem I have done so far and once these are CNC out I will have 2 for my Camaro. Please let me know what you think because I am sending the program to my CNC laser guy to get them quoted. Yes this is a direct laser cut piece all the way thru. NO etching. The look will be way better than any etched part and will be out of 1/8" aluminum. :yes:
They will be approx 4" wide by 3" high.

Adam, where are you going to put them? Very nice!

I will put them in the small rear quarter windows where my other emblems are. One for each side of the car. :thumbsup: I used epoxy for my other emblems but anyone could use double sided tape. T/y for the compliment. Hopefully other members check out this thread.

These are prototype laser cut emblems. Stainless steel. I hope everyone gets a chance to check them out since most people are at SEMA and might not see this thread by the time they return.
Again these are PROTOTYPES. The final versions will be a lot better.
Please let me know what you think. Some of the detail was just unbelievalble for the laser machine but its proof that just about anything can be done. :)

how much do you expect them to be? roughly...... i have an idea they may just might fit perfect in the grill where there are holes for my orig ss badge would go. scott what do you think about that? :unibrow:

Thanks for the feedback guys. I am still working on ways to make these quite a bit cheaper than the original quote I received. I originally made everything out of double lines which almost doubled my laser cutting price. All the pieces cut out above are double cut lines for extremly crazy detail. Now I am going to try to make most of these with single lines to have very close detail but a lot more affordable to produce.
Stay tuned I am working on these like crazy with my laser guy. Believe me Scott and I would love to see everyone own some of these. :thumbsup:

I gave Scott the quote for he emblems. So the price is all in his hands at this point. However I will need to have a couple new prototypes cut out to make sure they are up to my quality standards. If they pass my inspection then I will send one to Scott to check out. If he also approves the emblem then its all in his hands at that point. You will have to keep buggin him. :thumbsup:

Yep, I'm just waiting to see one in person, then I'll most likely order up a couple dozen. I'm 99% sure it's a done deal, I'm just a bit hesitant since I haven't see one yet.

I gave Scott the pricing. Its all in his hands at this point. The final emblems would look even better since they will be on a new laser machine and all the bugs will be worked out of the final pieces. All up to Scott at this point. :thumbsup:
There was a lot of detail and laser pierces but I got them made as cheap as possible.

I just looked at this emblem again and I realized they cut my old program out that had the double lines. Ignore what this one looks like. It is the wrong program. The next one will look a lot better. :willy:
