This car belongs to a customer for those not sure it's a 66 mustang, it features many one offs that can't be shown so pictures don't really do it justice. Looking for reactions from people to see what you think. It's a big block ford with a Morrison chassis. Every body panel has been altered and as you can see it started as a convertible and arrived not looking much like a car..
|
That's some serious body work!
|
You made a Convertible into a coupe? I'd say that is a LOT of body work and it's looking damn good!
|
Looks very nice... very nice:thumbsup:
Can you tell us more about you and your shop ?? |
looks awesome.. the front window is alittle long in my taste... but the car looks great, nice handywork
|
Schweet! Ha...finally, someone that saw the stock hardtop windshield needed to be laid back a little and did something about it! Great idea! Incredible fab work so far...keep us posted!
|
A few comments made on the windshield is actually out of a late model mustang so that's why it looks long and laid back. And yeah it took a lot of work to put a fastback roof onto the convertible body
|
Very nice. More photos please.
|
Hmmmm
I've been trying to follow this build for a while. So far, in addition to these photos, 22 other photos have been posted. Awesome fabrication work!
Hey mad_scientist66: Since the 22 other photos are posted on the shop's web-site, I assume you won't mind if I post the shop's name....... |
HWY Nova thats awsome to know that people know this car and are following progress of it.
The question has been asked about where the car is being built. The web site is www.goprorides.com I believe that everything pictured for this car has been changed, i'll get some new pictures up this week hopefully. |

Drop-Top vs. Fastback
Hey Mad_Scientist66: Why did the customer switch from a Drop-Top to a Fastback?
--Eric |
Fabrication work looks AWSOME :hail: You definately got the tires and wheels nailed down to a perfect stance. Post more picts. SOON !!! Not bad for having a BLUE OVAL on the grille.

The car was supposed to get the convert. roof to go with the windshield, but it didn't match good or look right so we talked him into the fast back roof. The top would have stuck up really far to when it was down. |

Did you think of a lift off hard-top or did the owner shoot that down as well? Mal |
Quote:
Yes a lift off was considered first but weight was a concern for one person to be able to remove, he's not big on the coupe roof and the fastback glass is large and adds alot of weight even for 2 people. So during mock up of that roof the customer decided that he liked the roof enough to make it a full fledged fastback. |
