Thanks for the update...it's nice to see Tech 9 in there with the big boys!!

rocketman 07-12-2008 12:17 PM

Burmans Camaro IMO is the nicest.

Ricochet 07-12-2008 01:11 PM

First of all I want to congratulate everybody that made the top 5. That is a feat in itself IMO. Although I know all the cars are incredible I want to throw some extra props out to Jeff Hansen. Not sure how many know this but this guy built his car in his garage. To be able to make the top five in a land of no expense spared pro built cars - that's huge IMO.

Don't turn this into a bashing pro-built cars thread. Not the intent here. I have a ton of respect for all people in this hobby at all levels - just nice to see a little guy mixing it up with them.

Congrats again Jeff.

would love to see tech9 take it lil bit of revenge for the homebuilders lol all 5 are awsome though

G-Body 07-12-2008 03:10 PM

I seen them all and the top 5 in the building after they pulled them in. all very nice the black 68 i dont know how make the cut not even in the same league but wow was there ever some awesome rides there they could have picked 20 instead of 5 and had a hard time congrats to all but i have to say there was a red cuda that was off the chains nice that should have made the cut but like i said big field big quality. and to me Razor has NO competition head and shoulders above the rest! Pictures does this car no justice wow nice:yes:
That tech 9 ride just oozed sexiness i cant imagine how much time is in that paint job woooooo we sweet.
And another plug feslers 69 had the deepest black paint job i have ever seen if you missed this show boy did you ever miss a show. lol

Awesome cars! Congrats guys! :woot:

Three others I think ended up on the wrong side of a coin flip is the only explanation they were'nt selected were:
Kenny's Camaro:

Glen's Mopar:

Eddie's Impala:

It's getting tougher and tougher for the judges every year.

any pics of the interior on that Silver 69 ZL-1?

Steve1968LS2 07-12-2008 05:51 PM

I thought Kenny Davis's '69 should have been in the top five instead of one of the other Camaros that made it.

I won't say which one..

Also, I'm a Camaro guy but four out of the five were Camaros? Could we have some variety. (and all were Chevys)

rocketman 07-12-2008 09:38 PM

Kenny got hosed, and the guy with the C-3 Vette

Kenny and Travis that is one cool ride you deversed to be in the top 5

Actually they were all camaro's since the Nova is a camaro with different sheetmetal on top...

Everytime we go to Columbus you have like 20 or so cars that can be in the top. I would hate to be a Goodguys judge with that MUCH TALENT in the parking lot and only a few picks! No matter what someone's going to get left out....oh well.

Al Moreno 07-13-2008 08:29 AM

Troy his guys attention to detail is awesome, I love how purpose built this car was done!

I agree,i know which car your talking about

Steve1968LS2 07-13-2008 12:25 PM

I like the Ring Bros Camaro, but to be honest I like Troy's Nova better. Maybe it because Im not a big RAM JET fan.

And maybe I just give bonus points for not building a Camaro.. lol

X2

I like the Ring bros car, but IMHO the Nova is more 'to the point'. No extra bells and whistles, just down to business. congradts to all that put something out there tho.

mtlinvtns 07-13-2008 12:38 PM

controversy

I agree with you about troy's car, I think that the car had alot more details. I am also just basing this off of pictures but engine wise definitely the nova. Do you think that the controversy over the nova is what put it out of contention. I think the ring brother's car is great but personally I prefer the nova. That's what this whole show thing comes down to personal preference. Thanks, Jon.

Hats off to Mike and Jim Ring and Troys bunch at Rad Rides. They brought the two best street machines hands down. Either of them coulld have won it. Yes troys car wouldnt shift but guess what when the programming is all done its going to be one nasty nasty ride and one bad street machine. The show was great we had an awesome time and it was good to see everyone.

Congrats again to Mike and Jim Ring and the Ring Brothers Team:thumbsup:

I have'nt seen the nova up close and personal but from the pics it looks like the ring bros car had alot more body mods and I think the interior in their car is one of the coolest ever troy is a great builder but I think the ring bros just had more stuff going for it.

In person the interior hands down is the best ive ever seen, great european features, Its has a hardcore chiseled statement to it almost as if it would be very stiff seating and ride comfort but according to Mike Ring the feel of it behind the wheel and sitting in the seat is just the opposite, smoooooth all the way.
