Me at Year One autocross

I think I forgot to post the pic the Steve Rupp took while I was doing the autocross at the Year One event. By far my favorite pic of my car and great camera work by Steve.

GM Muscle 07-17-2008 11:30 AM

awesome pic man. that drivers wheel and tire is planted!

Steve1968LS2 07-17-2008 12:52 PM

Email me your address and I will send you a whole CD of shots.

Oh, and you're in the next issue of CP to come out (along with many members here)

Here's two more...

Woops..

On the BIG track..

Now go finish it so we can shoot it for the magazine :)

actually Steve will never admit it but that photo was purely accidental... he was walking by me when I was announcing the autocross, tripped and when the camera hit the ground it snapped the photo. No skill at all there  :D

Payton King 07-17-2008 01:07 PM

Thanks for the other shots

I did not know that you had one of me trying to "drift" the course...I guess I have been watching too much of "Fast and the Furious."

It is up on Jack stands right now. Changing the rear gear, increased my front spring rate from 350lbs to 450 lbs and having my pedal ratio increased. Front spoiler is going on, but I am not sure how long it will last

Under the hood is finished so soon as it hits the ground I am ready for your to shoot it if you are....Thanks a million!

I can't wait to see the the new CP.

Maybe I could hire you to follow me to all my shoots and "accidentally" trip me all the time? :D

XcYZ 07-17-2008 07:26 PM

Looks awesome, Payton.

nvr2fst 07-17-2008 08:26 PM

Those are great action shots, again I love to see our cars being driven....

jeff hanson 07-18-2008 08:13 PM

Looks cool Payton. That things really diggin-in in that first pic. Not so much in the second one:lol:. What's more fun, "on rails" or "drifting"?

Payton King 07-21-2008 06:23 AM

I like the "on rails"

Thing, but I can see the lure of the drift.

I would think rally driving would be more fun than a drift car.

I have video I am sending to Scott to pull off as well

radrambler 07-21-2008 08:57 AM

Roger Poirier 07-21-2008 07:46 PM

Time to blow up some of those action photos and line them up in the garage. They are great conversations pieces.

Love the the 68 scoops on the car. If you ask me that's the way they should of came from the factory.

Roger

You saw your car in PHR right? Oh, and keep an eye open for upcomming issues of High Performance Pontiac ;)

Payton King 07-22-2008 05:55 AM

Hey Roger

Not sure what you are speaking of on the 68 scoopes.

Yea, as soon as I get the disk I am going to get me a poster made for my office and maybe one for the garage. I already use the autocross pic as a background on my work computer.

XcYZ 07-22-2008 05:59 AM

Payton, that pic looks really good in the latest issue of Camaro Performers.

Payton King 07-22-2008 06:09 AM

I have not seen it.

I will be leaving in a little while to go pick up a copy.

You have the newest issue? I don't even have it yet... what's on the cover? (is it the Pro-Touring issue?)

XcYZ 07-22-2008 07:22 AM

Yep, Jr's car on the cover.
