Looks great.. but in person that car is HUGE..

I wish it wasn't 4,000 lbs and I wish it didn't only have an automatic.

markss28 08-22-2008 08:57 AM

The horse power to weight is bad on these cars. Sure 425 hp sounds great but only if the car weighed in at 3500 lbs not 4000. These cars are good for low 13s but lose about 500lbs and thats mid 12s atleast

ironworks 08-22-2008 09:04 AM

The new camaro is supposed to weigh 4000 lbs also. Crazy

rjsjea 08-22-2008 09:12 AM

The car looks cool.......

ArisESQ 08-22-2008 09:16 AM

gaahhhh! that looks awesome!

and yes, it is a pig, but i dont care. for a daily driver that car would be perfect!

I thought it was lighter than that?

Anyways, I asked a GM engineer about this and he said to blame it on the Govt crash standards and cost. The cheapest and easiest way to make a car safer is to throw mass at it. That's one of the main reason these cars are so heavy.

Not the direction you want to go if you are trying to gain mpg to keep up with CAFE requirements.

BTW, that thing is SICK!!!!

on another forum there was more pics of the setup...its airride..bolt in system and from what the poster said the owner didnt want any holes drilled in his car at all..so all the airlines and electrical had to enter and exit through existing holes...this is what ive heard so dunno if there is any truth in it.
