Thanks Scott! Now there is also a second aluminum piece that fits from behind to hold the lense. There will also be 3-4 different lense designs; wide open for the RS plus some that split the lense, narrow/shorten the size. etc. for those that would like a bit smaller lense, more along the lines of the 69's.

No pricing yet, but at least wanted people to know that we are making progress.

About time! How much smaller in profile are these than the original? They looked complicated to layout.

Did you put those on the hood of the MULE!!! You could have scratched the paint! ;)

Actually, the owner of the Mule put those on the hood of his car to take pics! Then again, he's a nutball! His son does our CNC machining.

These definitely are much more difficult and much longer to machine than the 69's. These are thinner and much cleaner looking than the originals, but stay true to the original shape. They also fit much better than the stock ones.

Jody

Musclerodz 08-22-2005 01:10 PM

Cool. How about a pic next to the original for comparison? Since they are more complicated to machine, I won't ask on price since I will guess more than the '69's.

Very nice, Jody. Any chance of a 3 light version, perhaps with a small backup light in the center?

mazspeed 08-30-2005 08:13 PM

Are these available yet? I'm having the car painted and would love to have a set for them

Thanks

Hopefully pretty soon. He has only machined one set for final fitting. There is another option that goes with it that isn't in the pics too. Good news is it fits better than the original so there's no more tweaking to do.

Wow, Those are awesome!...I can assure anyone on the fence of the high quality and craftsmanship of these parts, I LOVE my 69 lights, and apparently so does everyone who sees the car, lots of great compliments on the RS tails....Good Work.

TA219 08-31-2005 01:11 PM

That .... Is .... Awesome

rockdogz 08-31-2005 02:05 PM

Jody

This would be great. Do you think there is any chance of getting a set within a month?
Thanks for your response :-)
Mike

mazspeed 08-31-2005 02:29 PM

Ok, just got off the phone with them and I'm going to try and have them design a set for my 67 with the modern look like the 69 they made for the blue camaro on their contact page. They said it's about a month out, so I think I can wait but my car goes in for major body work in 2 to 3 weeks. By then I may go down there and see if they can cut me out a custom set if possible. Very nice people over the phone by the way.

Mike

camcojb 08-31-2005 03:40 PM

Thanks Mike, you probably spoke with Pascuals brother. We have 4 designs for changing the trim on the lense, and there may be a similar one to the modern 69 already drawn up. I'll talk to Pascual Friday when he gets back in town and let you know.Jody

Thanks again Jody. I'm a huge fan of your cars and your work. It's a pleasure to talk to you.

Thanks again
Mike

Musclerodz 08-31-2005 04:26 PM

Jody, did you mention an even smaller profile one awhile back? I like these and would settle for these if there won't be any real design changes, but would like something still less bulky.

Mike

edit: nevermind, I did not pay attn the posts above. I think I am losing it.

rockdogz 09-12-2005 10:31 AM

Any updates on availability? :D

Maybe I missed it, but will these bezels work with the stock lenses/lights/etc? I'm actually not running the stock ones - got the LED setup from Technostalgia, so I'm hoping that will fit.

They're coming is all I can say. They come with a lense, but use the stock housings or any that bolt up the same as stock.

........Available with the single, one color lens (with LEDS)....... like on the 67 RS ??

And not to be too intrusive, will the lens (with LEDS) be available by themselves to fit the factory bezels ??

Put me on the list for either........ :D

67-68 Taillight

The 67-68 taillight is going to offered in a few trim options. We currently have three designs of the filler trim that we will be offering to fit in the inside perimeter of the billet housing. 1. Small trim around the outer perimiter of the red lens to make the lens about 1/4 inch smaller, 2. A trim that will split the lens in half, similar to the 68 design and, 3. One that has a small back up light in the center of the lens. We will post pictures of the lights with all three options when we have them done.

I would have made more agressive changes to the light housing itself, but we had some design limitations that we needed to work around. In additon we will be offering a matching billet gas cap, and a set of rally sport back-up lights with the taillights.

I believe our light improved the rear look of 67-68 Camaros. However, the lights can appear stock if one was willing to have them plated in chrome and paint the center of the billet black.

We still need to have new gaskets made and have the billet trim inserts laser cut before we release them to the public, but a certain few will be getting the first few for feedback. The light fits very nice and it will accept the factory stamped sheet metal light housing. We will try very hard to release them to the Market before SEMA.

We are in the process of developing a new look with LED's. It is very unique from what is currently available on the market. We have many ideas for 67-68 Camaros and will pursue them all in time.

Hi Pascual I spoke to you a few weeks ago about trying, well hoping to get a set of these soon. My car goes to body work and paint in 2 weeks and would hope to have this set by then if possible. If I can pre pay for it please let me know. Thanks and sorry for putting you on the spot.

Mike

mazspeed 09-21-2005 07:55 AM

I was curious if there was anything new on when we can get a set? :P

Jerebus67 10-09-2005 06:22 PM

JimM 10-10-2005 06:04 PM

Close is good... I even shopped the website and found that, as long as the $$$ is in line with the 69 tail lights, I could do it!!

You mentioned before that a triplle light, with a small backup light lens between 2 larger red lens is on the list. Just what I need for my 68 non rs currently sporting 67 RS tailights and zero backup lights. I also read that your billet bezels can use the stock lampholders... which only have 2 sockets... how's this gonna work?

The 67/8 tails will definitely be more than the 69's. There's more parts involved and machining time is at least twice as long. We'll keep them as low as possible, but will not be in line with the 69's.

All our lenses use the stock lampholders. The triple light is a possible option for the 69's which have three sockets.
