nice little Mustang restore.
Here's a few shots of another Mustang in the shop. For the life of me I can't seem to get photos when the car is on the ground!!
This one got almost the full treatment with our full chassis underneath and a new bottom sheetmetal. I'll get some better pics up tomorrow hopefully. http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05442.jpg <edit> crud, the wrong photos posted, I'll get some good ones up tomorrow. Okay, here's some good pics, LOL... http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05472.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05473.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05476.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05478.jpg |

http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05519.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05520.jpg I think someone had asked about how the other Mustang was going to be mounted to the frame. Here's a shot with the spacers in. A full set of billet mounts will be made. http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05521.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05522.jpg |

Our standard coilover suspension (less coilovers at this point) http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05525.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05526.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05526.jpg |
That is awesome. I cant wait to see some more progress shots. Lucky owner.

the motor showed up a few days ago. The injection on this is absolutely nasty. I don't have the specs in front of me, I'll get them in the morning and post them.

We're a bit closer now. We had to do a bit of sheet metal work to get the exhaust routed to exactly where the customer wanted it. I think it looks pretty trick as a side effect. The exhaust will run un the drive shaft tunnel, run through the frame, and exit behind the tires out the rear quarter.
http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05632.jpg Oh and don't mind the x-member's shotty looking welds, it's just tacked in place. http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05629.jpg |
she's on the ground now.
The drip rails went hasta la bye bye, as well as just about every other peice of exterior hardware. http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05771.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05759.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05770.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05758.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05763.jpg |
new bear claw latches installed
http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05767.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05765.jpg this is the interior door pull....but I think it makes a kick ass change holder!! http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r...g/DSC05806.jpg |
uhhh
Wow, not much else to say.
|
|
shaving the drip rails was a nice touch on the early mustangs they do nothing but rust out anyways. Are you going to do the Shelby side windows or something else?

No one has EVER accused me of posting pictures too fast, LOL. Sorry for the delay in getting more pictures up..here's a few more for you all. Personally I think the center console with a cup holder big enough for a Big Gulp is the most kick ass thing in the car :D

?
pst its not a restore when you cut the whole car up and make new stuff :)
its a restomod heh |

I guess technically it's a restomod, but with most cars we build all the panels are built by hand and redone, so something with a few mild body mods and our chassis I usually call a restoration...... |
Any updates?
How did you do the channel for the water? Any more pics of that? Very nice :) |
wheels?
What brand and model are the wheels on that Mustang?
That car is killer, can't wait to see more progress! Thanks, Eric |
Nice build...although I wonder why no mini-tub especially with all the metal and chassis work?
|
I must request again - any more updates? Don't make me wait any longer! :)
|
Nice build. The intake is killer.
