Victone's badd Ass LS7 69 Camaro

Everyone has been asking what is going on at the shop and I have not been posting much. Well, we have been sandbagging a little bit. Truth be known, we painted 4 Camaro's last month, 1 every weekend, that are all coming together. The shop is a rainbow of Camaro's, Red, Black, Green and Silver. and 2 more will be painted this month. Michael and the boys have been kicking ass and the place looks like a Pro Touring Camaro factory. At last count there were 13 Camaro's on the property getting the treatment!

So this is one we have been keeping a secret for a while. It belongs to our member Victone from San Fransisco and this is going to be one badd boy! Victor bought one of my body shells from me and contracted it as a finished roller. The car includes the best of everything including the full DSE treatment including minitub, Subframe, and Quadralink. The Engine is a new crate LS7 and is getting a little help from a cam among other things to up the power. Victor will drag race this fairly often and opted for a killer automatic. The transmission is the badd ass Bowler / Twist Machine 4L65 manumatic, sending power to a Mark Williams stuffed 9". A set of Anodize Fikses and BFG TA KDW2s give it "The Look".

The Red color is a secret, but is the redest red you have ever seen. Everyone that comes in the shop dies over the color! it literally lights the entire shop up!

We are waiting for some Mega Stop Tech Brakes, and doing a few more little things before this monster heads across the country to it's new home. We already miss it and it has not even left yet.

Victor has built a number of killer cars through the years and is a accomplished mechanic. So we did all the dirty work and Victor will be finishing the rest of the project.

Thank you Victor for trusting us with this build. It's guys like you that make guys like us look good!

Congratulations buddy! I know you cannot wait to see it.

Sweet car. Nice work.

ProdigyCustoms 09-20-2008 03:49 AM

As for the color, it is a secret. But I can tell you no onw has guessed it yet. It is a factory color though.

victionone 09-20-2008 07:06 AM

Thanks for posting the car up Frank! I know everyone here is probably tired of seeing '69 Camaros, but I just had to have one! And blame Frank for posting it up.

I was originally going to give my '70 Chevelle the PT treatment but decided to put my money and time into the car I have always wanted. I was looking for a finished car and change it to my liking, but couldn't find anything to fit the bill. I called Frank to get his opinion on different cars I was looking at and ended up with what we see here. Working with Frank has been a pleasure. Absolutely no BS. He never tried to sell me on anything and allowed me to build the car I wanted. Thank you Frank!

Thanks for all the positive comments. It feels nice to see my project posted up after years of browsing these forums looking all sorts of wonderful projects. I can't wait to get it home and finished.

These motors in these cars would be so fun those motors pull like crazy!
But i have to admit those wheels just dont help that car. Not only the black just the look such a nice car though.
Yet another RED 69 camaro just what we all needed lol

awr68 09-20-2008 08:40 AM

I actually like the wheels...but think a black stripe on the car to tie it all together would help....even a black tail panel would help. But I'm sure once the interior (black?) goes in it will all be good!

I saw a 60 Cadillac once that was the reddest red I had ever seen. It was plain old GM code 74.

it looks a hell of a lot like southern polyurethanes red (even though thats not a factory color). plain red tint with nothing else...... looks killer

I love the way the car turned out. The only thing I was 100% set on with this car from the beginning was the color combo, red with black wheels, but I was thinking about adding flat black hockey stripes in vinyl, and front and rear spoilers in carbon fiber. Nothing permanent. But I'm really digging the way it looks right now. Clean and simple. Decisions... and thanks for the thumbs up!
