Just wanted to throw out a few pictures of the Chevelle we recently finished for George Myrter. He just won a Muscle Machine of the Year pick at the Goodguys show in rainy Pocono.

BallnRods 09-30-2008 05:10 PM

Very nice! That is a Beautiful car.
What color is that on the top?
Congrats on the Muscle Machine of the Year pick!!

HRBS 09-30-2008 05:17 PM

Congrats guys !
Beautiful car.
We were parked next to you with the 69 Mustang Vert.

Pro Rides 09-30-2008 05:30 PM

Thanks, The top color is the same as the bottom with a black base and the bottom has a silver base. Its PPG's "Oh so sexy" in there vibrance collection. Then it has the red candy over it. I believe thats what it is. I will correct myself tomorrow after I check with the painter on that for you.

Pro Rides 09-30-2008 05:40 PM

Steve your car looked great too. What great weather we had. I was just glad to get a break in the rain to run our 69 Z28 on the autocross track all afternoon.

Nvrenuf 09-30-2008 06:03 PM

Great job, beautiful car! Congrats to you and another fellow Chevelle lover:thumbsup:

7TSS 09-30-2008 07:07 PM

Pro Rides 10-01-2008 06:36 AM

Thanks everyone. I'll do my best to post more pictures. I have more projects I'm going to post in the next few days also. Just finding time to sit down long enough to do it is the hard part. Thanks again

CraigMorrison 10-01-2008 08:44 AM

Looks great! Is this the one that you sent me the spy shots of that has our chassis under it? If so, I'd love to put this in the catalog!

Pro Rides 10-01-2008 02:44 PM

No Craig, Thats Kendalls from the Steelers with your chassis. I hope to have it done thru the winter and bring it out in the spring. I hope to have a few pics on here soon of that one too. What did you think of it.

ALLFAITH 10-01-2008 03:23 PM

Is this the one in the new CHEVELLES magazine ?

beautiful car.

Brad

JayR 10-01-2008 06:24 PM

Hey Terzich Brothers! Good to see you guys on here! The Chevelle looks sick as usual from Pro Rides. Looks like a sister car to the Corvette you had in Columbus. Quit holding out on these guys and post up pics of that nasty street machine here too.

Pro Rides 10-01-2008 07:28 PM

Jason, Hey this is Curt Ukasik not Denny or Mike. I own and run the shop at RPM/PRORIDES. Mike and Denny are both great guys and customers that help me tremendously get my feet on the ground with all the projects we have built together. Denny and his father still knock out some killer stuff in his dads garage under his house, while Mike still runs his projects thru the shop as a customer. They both have full time jobs that demand a lot of time from them. We started as great friends that seemed to have the same ideas and could see eye to eye on the builds that we were doing. What was my hobby then became my life 24/7. Eleven employees and eight complete builds going, we are hammering away at them. As for the Street Machines I don't want to let all the cats out of the bag yet. Next year is going to be fun I will tell you that. I will post a few picture of the other Chevelle in the next few days. Maybe some of your wheels would make our chances better next year at Columbus!!!!

Are you kiddin' me? All three of the car pics you are working on are insane! That Chevelle is going to be killer. Definitely take lots of pics on the builds of all three cars, we'd love to post the builds on the AME site.

c10addict 10-02-2008 09:25 AM

I gotta tell you... I live near Curts shop and get to see behind the scenes when I'm lucky... These guys build a beautiful car but even more important they build them so you can drive and beat the snot out them! I've witnessed it first hand! To me that is the all important factor... finish and function!

Hey Curt, Thanks for the backstory, sorry for my confusion. Love your style and your end product and would love to get our wheels on some of your projects. Let me know what you need!

A few more build pictures.

NOVA 10-02-2008 02:27 PM

Seats ......

Cool car, what seats are they btw? thanx.

Pro Rides 10-02-2008 02:42 PM

The seats started as Honda or Acura 2000 year range(don't know exactly). We then cut the cages down and made them a little wider too. My leather guy carved new foam to make them look as they do now.

abadsvt 10-02-2008 05:10 PM

Beautiful car. Those 2 pics of the the frame all painted or powdercoated looks SOOOOO SWEEEEET!!!! I could look at those pics all day. I especially love the black ceramic coated exhaust. Do you mind sharing the color and the place you got them done at? I am going to have my exhaust ceramic coated and would love to do something besides the chrome look. Thanks

Pro Rides 10-03-2008 06:28 AM

Hey Josh, Just want to say you too build some killer stuff. I saw you work over on the 67-72 Forums I have a 68 in the works myself that we built a chassis for and it has one of Nathan's Porterbuilt crossmembers in it 20s,22s, the list could go on & on. But again your work is awesome. On the exhaust I do a high temp powder in black first(bake it) then a black texture on the second coat then bake it a second time. It gives it different looking finish. I just do the headers in high temp black because after doing the texture on headers we found that it doesn't like the high temp. that close to the motor. I use a flex joint on all our exhausts and from there back the text holds up fine. I have been doing it for about 3 years now and we have it down pat. The sky is the limit on the colors we can do to. My buddy Jason at Allegheny Metal Finishing is the one to talk to if your interested.724-695-3233 just tell him you know Curt he'll give you the hook up. Hope that helps. Thanks

Thanks Curt!!!! I really appreciate the info! I am thinking about changing the plans for my truck and doing black on black and black colored exhaust would be a sweet touch. Does the black exhaust show dust easy? Also does it scratch easy? So do i get to see some build pics of this truck? Sounds SICK!!!! Thanks for the complements on my build. This is all kind of new to me so there is a big learning curve but I love every minute of it. Talk to you later.

Josh

Craig - I think these are different shops?????? Are they both named the same. I'm confused myself as I remember the car you are talking about.

http://www.goprorides.com/gallery/72chevelle/index.html

Just curious if there is a connection or if the username just happens to be the same name as another shop.

Pro Rides 10-03-2008 12:46 PM

Same shop dude! Craig knows, he so smart. We just don't update our web site that much, but thats about to change too. We just have been so busy and have so much work we just don't have time to do all we need too. Sorry for the confusion!!! That Chevelle is really close to paint, I just have been holding off on the pictures. I see what I can do in the next few days.

Pro Rides 10-03-2008 12:50 PM

I'll get you pictures Josh, when I get a few extra minutes. The Black is every durable does show a little dust(its black)but wipes off like it was paint. I am kind of new to the forum stuff myself but let me know if you need anything. Thanks

wiedemab 10-03-2008 02:15 PM

Gotcha! Sorry, for the confusion. Thanks for clearing it up.

You guys have built some killer stuff. Keep up the good work.

Ahhhh the Starliner, the Olds.

I should have known that Craig was on top of it and knew what he was talking about.

Later,

Brandon

Pro Rides 10-03-2008 03:10 PM

No problem man. Thanks for the compliments

Thanks alot! I kind of figured that it would show dust but just wanted to double check. I think i still might go that route. It looks sick and that is most important thing:D Keep the AWESOME work and welcome to the forum!

Josh

I love the fact the Chevelle was sitting out in the rain at the Goodguys show and not sitting in the trailer... Let these guys see some pics of that other Chevelle.. :wow:
