For less than 1/10 of the price ...

of this one, which sold at Mecum in May for $480K,

I'd thrash one that looks like this one below but that's been treated to all the standard g-machine updates, keep it a 427 but lighten the load over the front wheels. Saw it at cars-on-line and really like the black paint with the white stripe, redlines on the chrome trimmed rallys.

I didn't see any build picks; too bad.

It' s for someone who doesn't mind answering to 'IZTHATA...?'

I turned my friend onto the one that he sold at the Mecum auction. It was probably about the best Yenko there is. 30K miles, one repaint and it is black with red guts...Awsome car...

WOW! I did a feature story on this car in 1991 when I was writing. The car had 25K miles on it then.

I liked my cover shot.

this is the same issue we broke the trim tag codes in. Those were the days. Lots to learn and lots of information found.

Let's see Dave, you'd then have a car with air and heat, a car with neither and one with heat only. Therefore I think you should buy this one. Plus the U.S. of A would be back in control of your garage, eh?:unibrow:

fleetus macmullitz 11-18-2008 01:37 AM

FWIW here are the specs on the car from the dealer:

454 c.i. 4BBL V-8 (Casting# 3963512), 5 Speed (Tremec 3550), SS Equipped, 12 Bolt Rear w/ 3.73 Limited Slip, P. Disc Brakes, Tach, Winters Aluminum Intake & Heads, Buckets/ Console w/ Gauge Cluster, AM/FM Cassette, Tilt w/ Teakwood Style Steering Wheel, Front & Rear Spoilers, New Correct Style Exhaust, Rally Wheels w/ Redline Radial Tires, Yenko Fiberglass Hood, Yenko Decals, Newer Complete Restoration

Ha! Very good assessment. Except the garage part. I need to get one of those! I currently only have parking for 1 and that is a problem!

Let me quote a famous American who addressed this issue. This should help you Dave, and all those who still deal with 'problems'.

"In sales, we don't call them problems, we call them O-P-P-O-R-T-U-N-I-T I-E S!"

Herbert R. Tarlek, Jr., General Sales Manager WKRP-AM radio.
