When will dashes be for sale?

Anyone know when the 1st gen camaro dashes will be on sale and how much they are going to go for?

Spiffav8 11-16-2008 07:19 PM

From what I learned at SEMA it should be fairly soon.

VERY COOL PART!!!!

bigtyme1 11-16-2008 08:00 PM

Is the old one still avalible?

John510 11-25-2008 05:52 PM

I love Marquez stuff but man they are sooooooooooo slow to deliver their products they are leaving money on the table.

I just feel lucky I didn't have to wait 4-6 months for my taillights like many others did.

Dash release date

Sorry for the delay in posting. The dashes are scheduled for release in January 09. The unit at SEMA was a pre-production unit not a prototype for our dealers to view the product in person. We had a good response and we have been making the parts since we got back from SEMA. Many people have asked to be put on the list so they will get the first batch to make it out the door. I will post the details of the dash and related components next week.

Thank you Curtis you are in fact correct. The dashes were released at Sema as New Product for 09'. We did start a small production run prior to Sema to send out to a few builds. There are a small amount of revision changes we are currently making to the dash. This will not only improve the design, but the functionality of the equipment itself. I understand it can be a very cumbersome path to travel when you have to wait a month of Sundays to receive product in your physical possession. I myself can become a frustrated consumer. One of the major issues we are addressing with our shippers is the cost to ship the "One Piece Headliner". Because of the size and physical nature of this unit, it can become a more than reasonable item to ship. We are trying to lock down a solid freight cost to keep the impact to a minimum on both parties behalf.

Pascual,
How do I know if Im already on your waiting list? Hopefully I was put on there months ago.

John510 02-26-2009 08:49 PM

Are they out yet? Let me know so I can buy one.

Chingonrides 02-27-2009 02:58 PM

The production dash will be available at the Del Mar Goodguys. It has many little change from the prototype unit that is in our display 69.

Sac is a lot shorter drive than Del Mar.

Datsbad 03-03-2009 11:00 PM

Pascaul , I usually dont respond to things like this but I feel I need to .

Much of this is the same I heard in 2005 after SEMA for Fuel .
I was one of the few that recieved the "prototype " dash for Fuel like the one on DISPLAY in SEMA in 2005.

This new dash you say in your first post is not a PROTOTYPE but now you say it is . Also this new dash is the DASH I was supposed to have in my customers car in 2007 for SEMA.
I am still waiting for it really. I guess since after 07 SEMA you figured I didnt need it still.

Well truth is you told me I would have this dash , I was waiting to pay for it and Honestly it very much upset my customer of that car .

Now 2009 it appears nothing has changed with this dash .
So what is the definate release date of a production dash to be used.

Fact is I have many builds going on right now and I need MANY parts from you ranging from dashes to strickers, door panels etc.... But question is can I pay you for this stuff and get all within the same week.

You guys make great stuff, we all love it which has been proven .....
So how much do you guys have in stock now?
I need :
2 sets of front valance lights
2 sets of tail lights
2 sets of stricker
2 sets of door jamb vents
2 sets of door panels
2 sets of rear speaker decks
2 sets of the new Dash , COMPLETE !

Please advise, Jason

Vegas69 03-03-2009 11:21 PM

Thank you for being honest.

HRBS 03-04-2009 10:22 AM

I agree with Jason. The dash is beautiful. But we have heard about this release for so long already. It reminds me of the new Camaro. Will it ever come out and will it be all its cracked up to be ?
Pascual, I talked to you this year at SEMA about a special project we have and drilled you on getting one. You never once offered me to be on a "waiting list". So I basically am at the end of the line like Jason and everyone else who is interested in one.
Its a great piece but I truely think once people hear the cost they will forget about it entirely.

Dash availability

The production dash will be available at the Del Mar Goodguys show. It does require the the complete removal of the factory dash and a few holes drilled then the unit will bolt in place. It has taken much time to develop, but it fits just as do all our other parts. We expect it to cost between $3,500-to 4,000 for a complete kit. The kit will include a dash pad, lower dash, billet aluminum gauge cluster(no gauges), steering column trim, door panels, rear quarter sections, package tray, one piece a and b pillars, headliner and center console. It will be sold with no upholstery. If you are interested in placing and order please send me an e-mail to [email protected]

We run a production schedule for all our parts. If soemone needs to check availability on any product you can call the office at 916-373-9783.

That is an awesome price. Think about how much it would cost to get an interior custom made by some shop. They would bend you over. You guys building all of these cars should send out the purchace order for these parts.... I would be stoked to have that set up on my car:thumbsup: especially when you dont have to be an interior guy to install it.

You need to compare apples to apples to make this statement.
This kit is a great kit... however :
-no seats
-no material
-no labor to wrap
-no carpet
-no gauges

Add all that up and it IS comparable to an "interior custom made by some shop that would bend you over".

Pascual.... Will you offer the dashes seperate and if so how much are they (complete, less gauges)?

Yes, I know that if you hand your car over to an interior shop with no dash, no front or rear door panels no headliner no dash insert parts, no headliner. and said "I want you to build me fiberglass door panels that look cool and are multidimensional (not flat 1/4 inch plywood rig crap) I want you to build from scratch a dash after I take mine completely out and make something totally different that bolts in. I want a billet insert for my gauges and a billet glove box with custom hinges and nice A/C vents and I want a new speaker shelf to match as well as a one piece headliner that shows no seems when installed. That I would have a bigger bill from them rather than the one I would have bringing them the parts to install and wrap. Also, this hobby is full of people that would do it themselves including me. The parts on the car people saw at SEMA were wrapped by a non interior guy, and I know that material and 3m spray adhesive don’t cost that much. I think taking everything you say not included in the kit and applying that to a custom interior in a shop and yes it still would be cheaper, and who knows about the quality.

Hey everyone, first post, but not new to the forum. I justed wanted to clarify one thing for everyone. I called Marquez last week and spoke to Judas, great guy by the way, about the kit. The $3,500 to $4,000 does not include the center console as mentioned above. They are still in the process of developing a 1st gen console. The one installed in the car at SEMA was a modified 2nd gen console. They've received so much demand for a center console because of this car, they are soon going to be building one for the 67-69 cars. I just wanted everyone to be clear. I wish this price included the center console because it's a sharp set up. Who knows, maybe they can get creative with the pricing for everything. After all it is a pretty solid investment.

Thanks,
Dave

dash kit

Dash/door panel kit:
Upper dash pad, lower dash, steering wheel trim, billet gauge cluster, gauge cluster trim, billet glove box lid and hinges, center console (Second gen console)and all the brackets to install it. Door panels, quarter sections all these need to be used together. This is the same set up that is in our display car.
Interior kit:
Will include all the above and a one piece headliner, one piece a and b pillar, package tray, trunk lid cover.
We are going to offer a new center console in the future, but will be very close to design as the one we already use. Sorry for the confusion on the center console.
The price will be $3,500-4,000 for the interior kit.

HOW MUCH FOR DASH KIT ONLY:
Upper dash pad, lower dash, steering wheel trim, billet gauge cluster, gauge cluster trim, billet glove box lid and hinges ???????

Chingonrides 03-12-2009 10:46 AM

none

We have not established a price yet for just the dash and door panel kit.

The headliners are done, but I made some changes to the a pillar design.

The dash will come with a new a pillar also even if one choses not to buy the complete interior kit. The a pillar will fit like a stock one does, but will fit the contours of our dash pad. We will have a press release when we introduce them at Del Mar with all the details.

We have a fully installed a production dash in a car now and are making small adjustments to it.

AJSZR2326 03-30-2009 11:59 AM

so are they unfinished peices or can i get them upholstered ? any pics?

John510 03-30-2009 12:26 PM

unfinished. I was told price was around 4K for the door panels, trunk panel, headliner, dash, center console, and some other parts probably Im forgetting. I sat in the camaro that was on display. I took pics but because the sun was shining on the car they came out with a really bad glare.

Are you in CA? They are going to be at the delmar good guys with their display car.

jcal87 03-30-2009 01:04 PM

anyone have pics of the dash?

John510 03-30-2009 01:47 PM

The glare from the sun made it hard to get a picture. I was told the red parts are whats for sale in the kit.
