This a hijack

Let met get this straight

The economy is in the tank

The stock market in down 40%

My wealth is going to be re-distributed

Commodity prices have fallen drastically

The consumer and the bank are both hording cash

The bank will only loan me, my own money

AND Vintage Wheel Works is announcing a HEFTY price increase...

either this automotive market is immune to the rest of the market or all of my economic teachings will be re-tested...
I've seen it before when companies have raised prices in a down market economy,... man I sure miss that company, and their building was empty for SO long after they left...

I know, I know, 'its different this time'

hijack off

sometimes my Ecomomic background makes me ask all sorts of questions and question all sorts of things

Up about 10% on average.

In response to the hijack:
And, I know it sucks to see a price increase, but you have to remember that the price to manufacture these parts have gone UP TOO! Not like the price of aluminum, boxes, shipping, rent on our warehouses have not all gone up too and we're left having to scramble to make ends meet. Remember, we're all effected by it.

It's too bad pictures of their entire line are not shown clearly on a nice car so We could get a good look at them all.

I like a several of their designs.

X2 and the one thing that effects the bottomline more then others is inventory sitting. Hopefully those who have the $$ to get in now do so and then hopefully the price comes down after the December retail numbers come in.

The order has to be in before the 1st. So through Dec 31st.
We can help you with the backspace,we have proven fitments we know work, and can more often than not suggest the right backspace to fit your application. 866-694-5940

79cutlass 12-23-2008 03:01 PM

For my '79 Cutlass I think i'm going with 17x9 up front with 275/40s and 4.5 or 4.75 bs....rears 17x11 with 315/35s and 6" bs, ofcourse a minitub and frame notch for the rears. I'm aware I might need to trim the front and rear wheel well lips as well...

DriverzInc 12-23-2008 07:13 PM

We have a proven fitment for putting a 9 up front. Give me a call before the 1st so we can save you money! 866-694-5940.

DriverzInc 12-31-2008 01:46 PM

Good deal...!

Happy New Year's guys...you'll be very pleased with those wheels 79cutlass.
Very premium wheel that obviously stands out from the herds of copycats... You'll see the difference I'm talking about when you have them in your hands.

Be sure to post up some pics when you get 'em mounted.

79cutlass 01-05-2009 11:42 AM

For sure I'll post up some pics! First off I need to notch my frame and mini-tub the rear. Also going with 12" LS1 brakes for the front unless I can get a killer deal on some 13" Vette brakes! :unibrow: I ordered the V45s and plan to paint the centers gold to match my 79 Hurst Olds theme.

79cutlass 01-13-2009 05:50 PM
