Post up your favorite mod on your car.
What's your favorite thing on your car? Or angle, or that something special that you are especially proud of. Post em!
|
Great idea for a thread.
I guess if there's any one particular part of my car that I'm the happiest with, it would have to be the motor. The LS7 is amazing. |
I like many things about my car...but I'm really proud of my Fikse wheels! Oh, and I love my rendering too! :)
|
So far, the DSE tubs. I'm still in the metalwork phase, but I'm sure wheels, suspension mods, etc. will supercede the tubs in the near future.

Pics? That money shot? That gorgeous sunset/beach/blue sky in the background?
|
The cup holders.

Well I will be the first to post a picture! I am pretty happy with the wheels and brakes on my car!

Oh I think I'm going to be loving this thread.
I'm still early into my build but I'm stoked on my big sway bars. Body roll ftl |
I've got few, but the homemade ones are my favourites.

I have a lot of favorite mods on my car but the most recent ones are always the most favorite for me.
Here are some pics of the latest one.Not the best pics but they work. It is a gas cap cover that is actually the kill switch for the whole car. It fits over the Flaming River push style kill switch and the center can be removed to make it easily visible on track days when I finally make it to them. I have a lot of thoughts of how to finish it and it is basically a blank ready finish. It is functional and does just what it is supposed to do. I keep thinking of so many ways to do it that i am going to wait until I get a few more things completed on the car to try and put everything together as a theme somehow. It is one of the first pieces I have made on my Index mill I bought this year. Jim Nilsen |
Nice work Jim!! And it's about time you joined!! Welcome!!

So far has to be doing my own Mini-tub along with 335 sized tires in the rear on a stock width rear end:
http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l...Install051.jpg With a stock lip you really don't notice the tires from the sides until you get behind the car: http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l...Install060.jpg http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l...Install061.jpg Also fitting aftermarket gauges in the stock dash is another favorite: http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l...tGauges022.jpg |

The used HRE 545 wheels I picked up on ebay. There was no money in the budget for new wheels of this quality and these ones are in great shape. This was the style of wheel I was looking for.

Dhutton, that car looks so good!!! I just sent that picture to my father who also has a 69 that I'm trying to convince that 15" wheels are are out and 17"-19" wheels are where it's at. Thanks for helping!!

Okay... sorry.... i just cant believe no one posted that yet.
Mine would have to be when Mike and I designed and built this custom center console to run from under the dash all the way to the rear package tray. The custom formed seats were cool too. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/P0002139.jpg http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/100_2114.jpg http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/f...c/100_2105.jpg |
Damn that back seat is looking sweet as h*ll!!!!

Thanks.
Heres one after the final sanding prior to paint. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/f...sc/console.jpg |

I have a few, but I think it would always come back to the mini tubs allowing for the 345's! They change the whole look and attitude of the car.
|
Hard to compete with some of these. :)
I guess putting the T56 in my 77Z - the highway is fun now. That and my DCC controller - it just works so freaking good. |
Hard to choose
I guess the aluminum work under the hood and the twin master set up.
