67 ZR-1 C-6 Vette by Modern Muscle
8 Attachment(s)
Hi Guys,
I wanted to share our next big project. As many of you know last year, we launched a new car line called Modern Muscle with three models: 69 camaro, 70-71 cuda, and 69-70 Mustang Fastback. Then we signed a licensing agreement with Mr. Norm for all of our mopars so we have a void in our Modern Muscle Line. We are proud to announce that we are adding 63-67 corvettes to the line-up. These cars will be C-4, C-5, or C-6 based builds depending on our client's preferences. Our prototype #001 car will be a completely C-6 based LS-9 1967 corvette coupe. We are using a brand new LS-9 engine from GM Performance Parts & all C-6 vette components. I am sharing some pictures of the progress we have made already. I will continue to add pictures along the way. We will be unveiling this car at SEMA 2009. Thanks Mike Staveski Time Machines |

We are hoping Optima does the street car shootout again because we would love to test it out right after SEMA. Maybe I could borrow Dave and Mary from Steve to drive it for us next year???? Thanks for all interest already, Mike |
Sweet project! Too bad you can't get a little more dish on the rear wheel though.
|
Way cool project.....

That is a sweet build!
Am I missing something with all the ZR1 parts popping up around this site? I thought the LS9 wasn't going to be released until next fall? Does anyone has a price on them yet? |
My understanding is they are about 25K and will be out shortly.

I cant tell from the pictures posted on the casting changes (which is so minor) but did you guys upgrade the zo6 MH3 to ZRI specs or is this the actual ZR1 MH3. And are you going with the different dia. half shafts depending on your final rear weight and battery placement. Awesome concept. |
Mid year vettes have the coolest lines of any car ever to leave Detroit.I've been wanting to build one of these cars forever. Can't wait to see this build. My next big build will definitly be a mid year.Good luck.Ron

Im not sure who your vendor is, but if you get a chance talk to Rodney or TJ at RPM transmissions and also look at Driveshaft Shop Inc. on the axles. The combined combination is top notch. How did you get your hands on that supercharged LS3 and what can i ask what it set u back$$$$ I have a friend of mine whos been looking, no luck yet and he may have to start from scratch. Dave |

Great project. I understand the difficulty of this project. We did a 66 Convertible with a tube chassis and used everything we could from a 04 Z06. The only things we didn't use were the HUD and airbags.

Cool car... It looks great. How big were the rear tires? Does the soft top still work? Mike |

I am not a fan of the wheels, but that is what the customer wanted. lol Also the ride height is leveled up now. These pics were taken while we were still working out bugs.. It should appear in Corvette Fever sometime soon, if it hasn't already. |
