What's your screen name mean?

Some simple, some covert. We have a lot of newbies here, so, give up the goods...what does your screen name mean?

Ummgawa...what Tarzan was called by the locals in the old Movies.

Rick Dorion 12-11-2008 06:13 AM

Mine means 'handsome geezer' :)

Good one, Jim.

Jimmy Sean 12-11-2008 06:13 AM

My name is Sean James and both my middle names can be used as first names also. I had a boss that would tell me that serial killers had all first names in their name and started calling me Jimmy Sean. I just find it funny and it rolls off the tongue pretty well. BTW I have not killed anyone yet. :omg:

camcojb 12-11-2008 07:14 AM

My68myway 12-11-2008 07:29 AM

I used to get told that I should have brought my car back to original. So I would just tell them it's my car and I'm building it to be exactly what I want and that's something that I think is cool and enjoy driving almost every day.

deuce_454 12-11-2008 07:33 AM

´my first screen name when i sarted online on exites auto-chat in 91 was stang65efi.. but having sold that car to my dad i started my next project, a 32 ford roadster with a 454 bbc, and that was my next name.. and after having used it for so long it kinda stuck... deuce_454

Ketzer 12-11-2008 07:46 AM

Its German for heretic. A heretic is someone who believes a vehicle does not have to look exactly like it did the day it rolled off the assembly line. Heretics will quite often change the look of a vehicle that they purchased with their own hard earned money to suit their own taste (or lack there of). We are hated and shunned by another group known as "purists". Purists are a clan of extremely angry and foul mouthed know-it-alls. These folk love to tell heretics how they have "ruined" a perfectly good, priceless, last of its kind, one of 400,000 made, vehicle, even though they would not have purchased said vehicle themselves to save it from desecration by "a hack" or "butcherer". They will gather together and ramble on endlessly about the awful injustice of you being able to purchase something no one else wanted to pay for and do with it as you please.

CCRACIN = C&C RACING = Chad & Chops Racing Chops is my Dad's nickname.

This was an email address I set up when we started racing. I wasn't allowed to use symbols and it had to be 7 characters max. I have just kept using it as people that know me recognize it.

Nvrenuf 12-11-2008 10:10 AM

Josh69 is simple enough, my name and year of my car...which happens to be the 3rd one so it's worked out.

My name on some other sites is 2bar, which was the max boost of my Lotus Esprit. Doesn't really pertain to this site, but it's a more interesting story!

I do'nt know why but it always stuck with me. Years later I was running a quick 16 at our local track and a obnoiccious competitor ask what I was running ,and I just blurted out ''DOOM!'' Now its my answer for any question that I do'nt want someone to know..:_paranoid :lolhit:

jst8a5.0 12-11-2008 07:24 PM

When I was 18 I built up a 1974 Pontiac Ventura sleeper of the century with aluminum headed 400. 5.0 Fox body mustangs were a dime a dozen (ricers at the time always swerving in and out of traffic) and I would walk all over them. Never lost to one 5.0 so I put it on the license plate "jst8a5.0" (just ate a 5.0) just to taunt them and it stuck.

bigtyme1 12-11-2008 07:35 PM

Nick name I picked up from High School. Related to a Peter Gabriel Song. Long story short, don't ask don't tell!

silver63c10 12-11-2008 08:29 PM

Color, Year, Model, I'm not so creative. It was the first project my dad and I built - will always be my favorite.. Started using it as a screen name back in high school and I've just stuck with it for most things online.

Mine? Pretty lame story for a pretty lame name for a pretty lame guy. But it's better than what most people call me.... And I don't think I'm allowed to post that here.

98ssnova 12-12-2008 01:48 AM

Well combining my 98ss and my 72 nova. Just sounded cool to me.

shiro666 12-12-2008 05:49 AM

svp 12-12-2008 07:31 AM

Mine is the short initials for my shop....SVP Unlimited and often referred to as just "SVP". Then that stands for 2 things...I make and offer some parts for niche groups which uses the original Special Vehicle Products Unlimited...brought about by the focus originally on Mustang SVO's and SVO was Special Vehicle Operations.

Then for the cars we build it is Special Vehicle Productions Unlimited.

Originally when I started the business it was just supposed to be SVP.com for the website but at the time it was taken so I added the U to it and made it unlimited(never checking who had svp.com). It was only about 3 months later I found out that svp.com was a German Porn site when one of my customers called me questioning why he couldn't find any parts on the site.

sniper 12-12-2008 08:10 AM

Pretty simple; I'm attempting to restore a mostly rusted 67 firebird, a rust bucket :bunny:

Beach Cruiser 12-12-2008 08:37 AM

In the early 80's all the hot rods would go down to Atlantic Ave and "cruise" the beach. I still have the same Camaro now, and I live at the beach. The strip is too crowded now for the Camaro and they have "anti-cruising" laws so I ride my bike which is coincidently a beach cruiser. It's complete with RS badges, rally stripes, redwall tires and the required beer holder! Our local AutoX site is also on the beach (giant hovercraft landing pad). No matter where I go, I'm always "beach cruising"

Man, I remember those days! The strip was PACKED bumper to bumper. I had a friend that lived there(I lived in Southern MD at the time)and we used to go down there just for the cruise scene. I also remember when they started cracking down on it. All the fun stuff gets taken away!
