LOCATION: Minnesota State Fairgrounds, Saint Paul, MN

DESCRIPTION:
The 2009 Car Craft magazine Summer Nationals, is a three-day event showcasing more than 5,000 street machines and muscle cars in Saint Paul at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds on July 17-19. The event, which features all makes and models of two-wheel-drive vehicles as well as feature cars, will attract over 45,000 spectators. Participants can win one of 100 awards handed out to outstanding cars and trucks.

Any Lateral-G people going to attend this event? I'm thinking we should pull together a Lateral-G meet at the show.

We may have a bunch of hard core street racers looking to go up this year. I am really planning on going myself. Coming up there from the suburbs of Chi-town. ------------ Joe

I wonder if they will have the brake challenge again this year after the disaster last year? I'd guess their event insurance went up.

this is a awesome show..i drive down from Canada every year to see it..i also drive down for the Backtothe50s show too...Minnesota has some of the best cars and that venue at the State fair grounds couldnt be a better place to have a show this size

haven't missed this show in 10 years i will definetly be there for the show.

I will def be at the show.I am no hard core street racer.I just have a car I have fun in and take that every year.I usually setup and park with the Mnfbody club but it looks like that club has disbanded recently.no matter what it is the one car show event I look forward to every year where I am not a dad or hubby for 3 days,I am just another car guy with thousands of other car guys :thumbsup:

did I miss something at the brake challenge. I was there for 2 days and heard no mention of it.

Some young gal drilled a tree with a Mustang II. She was carted away in an ambulance and the car was pretty much wiped out.

the car was at our shop to help out with some detontion issues, high comp 347 w/a blower w/ steel heads...

I didnt know this was an event at the nationals, must have been too busy looking at cars. Im surprised that it was set up next to a tree line despite the barriers in lieu of a more open area.

I'll be there Saturday and Sunday! Woot. The car isn't quite as done as I'd hoped, but wet-sanding and buffing is a biotch and I'm tired of it LOL!

Look for a black '69 bird with 18" TTII's and a white interior.

EDIT: Won't have the car there, but it'll be there in spirit. Decided I'm tired of breaking my back trying to make it to the show, gonna relax and enjoy it without the stress.

We'll have 2 cars there. One customer car in RSE, car in Tremec dispay

anyone know were to sign up for the bikini contest,just have to do some last minute waxing and sweeze into my thong. i think i could win this thing.:lol: maybe if i wore this i would not slide around the seat in the autocross so much. anyone going to autocross?

Saturday morning for me. Saturday afternoon is dedicated to starting up the Dart.

Heading up fri night with my daughter. Jason has other engagements.

We will be there with our 1979 LS1 Camaro which is a Pro Tour car. Along with our all season Pro fun 98 Wrangler with a LS6.

The Wrangler is kind of scary unless you are going straight. Does well on the speed bumps though.
