Bob is one of the nicest guys I have met in the car world. He bought a few cars today. Good man. He bought the active suspension vette today which was shown in tons of features in the early 90's. It is a significant car.

It stinks he wont be able to drive it around town , well legally anyways. I would have to slap a plate on it just once to see what it drives like under normal conditions.

It shouldn't be very difficult to register it as a "special construction" vehicle, as one does with a kit car, etc....There are ways.

I hope he can... Never had to do that, so not sure how it works...

I saw that last night, pretty cool. Run thru the Hlls in that would be fun.

The problem with driving it is how could you fix something if it broke?

Imagine going to NAPA for suspension parts.. lol

I hope Bob can share some thoughts and photos of the two ZR1's he bought. IMO he bought the right cars, the ZR2 with ol' big block never appealed to me that much, but the Snake Skinner with carbonfiber and magnesium parts and the Black series LT5 is very cool car and definately shows where current ZR1 has it's roots. The Active ZR1 also laid the foundation for current vette suspension technology. Way to go Bob!
