Official g-Machine Action [Picture] Thread
Every once in a while someone comes up in here mad doggin' g-machines as being poseurs, trailer queens and overpriced garage art. Instead of getting all rabid and/or defensive, let's be helpful. Kindly direct them to this thread. Post pics, youtube vids, etc. of your favorite action shot. Try to avoid car show or other static type images. Focus on action shots of g-machines running at auto-X, road course, drag strip and touring events--yup even highway stuff. Our cars do it all. It doesn't have to be your car either. Scrounge up as many cars as you can find. The search tool will help. This is just a suggestion. Hopefully, the idea takes off. Otherwise, we'll have an empty action shot thread for the naysayers to reference.
Here's an example: A few years back, Dream Car Garage stated that the Mule might be worth $300K. Well here's $300K dropping thru the corkscrew at Laguna Seca. Suspension is fully loaded; tires beggin' for mercy. I figured I'd start with the Mule to get things going. I'll post Twisted Idiots stuff later. https://lateral-g.net/lillard/Mule_Laguna05.jpg |
Anyone who thinks that clearly hasn't attended an event like the Optima Challenge. I'll be posting a few more photos in this thread shortly.

My car at Road Atlanta. There's a steep hill just prior to these photos. We're heading into turn 12. Before the hill is the turn 10 complex 10 A and 10 B. This section is so fast that there's no turn 11. It goes straight from 10B to 12! And that hill? The crest is completely blind. You stare at sky as you approach the crest. Your first instinct is to keep right. But to get turn 12 right, you need to hit the crest as far left as possible and flat out without any view of the road on the other side of the crest. Total leap of faith.

Our own death cheatin' miracle boy, Kenny D in the auto-x at Columbus. Keep in mind, this is a car that was paid to be in an indoor show just last weekend and I have seen it get abused and had it's tires spun in anger!
http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...ls/KennyD3.jpg Thanks to Air Ride for this photo who are also well known for beating on high end cars. http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...els/KennyD.jpg |

The only track picture I have of my 91' Camaro. I know it's not taking corners, but it is set up for it !! This photo was just before an all motor 11.97 @ 120.3 pass on a 1.996 60' time, 255/50/16 BFG drag radials... The suspension is way too stiff for drag race, but it handles so well, I refuse to "loosen" it up for better E.T's...

Steve, do you have any more pics of Big Red?? :hail: How did it compare performance wise against the other cars present, thanks.

Back when I owned this Vette G machine...I wasn't afraid to load the suspension and let the rubber fly. Just didn't have that many opportunities.
We shot a "how to" video for www.vbandp.com and did some track day footage to open and close the video. We had a the track all day to do as we pleased. MAN! This was a blast! |

god i love this thread..

I have to say that attending the Optima Challenge deffinatly got me excited to finish my car! Looking at the cars at SEMA is truely fun and I love it...but seeing and hearing them at the track is WAY better!! |
Some shots of Shocked! Vinnie's car. 08 Year One Auto-X winner. 10.30 ET's on muscle (looking for nines on Nitrous Express spray in 09) Runner up (tie breaker to DSE) Run Thru The Hills 4. Tracked at Road Atlanta and Pocono. Camaro Performers Top 10 2008. Air Ride suspension plays a big role in this car's versatility since we can adjust for various wheel/tire combinations and track parameters.

We kicked it's ass.. lol Just kidding, I have more track shots but his tune was all jacked up (altitude?) so it wasn't running right. It was running the course in the over 2 minute range. He didn't try to autocross. That car is crazy sounding when it fires up. :willy: |
I've posted this before, but since this is an action thread...
Here's an in-car VIDEO of Big Red at WOT going 200+ |

Bow Tie - Nice Blackhawk footage. Looks like you are turning sub 1:30 laps. Not too shabby for a street car!
You need to head up to BIR sometime :-) Tom Fuehrer |
