Its good to see another 70 fastback! It's always disturbing to hear about shops whos sales pitches are much better than their workmanship, unfortunatly its all too common in this business, but it looks like there will be a happy ending. I cant wait to see the progress.

CptKlutz 02-03-2009 12:27 AM

Good luck on the (restarted) project! Will be cool to follow.

XcYZ 02-03-2009 05:31 AM

Be sure to post up some pics of the motor when you get it.

The ring brothers do amazing work you will be shocked when its done. There is a lot of smaller shops out there like that.I use to work for a car restorer that asked me why did i have hammers in my tool box they was body hammers. Most shops now are out for easy fast money they use body filler wrong a lot.I'm kinda anal about things but the ring brothers are some of the very few id trust to work on my cars.Post some pictures when you get to it id love to see the car.I drive a 68 gt/cs clone i love early mustangs.

ja.stoner63 02-05-2009 01:56 PM

I agree with you! It seems to be an art form that only a few work hard to achieve. Ring Brothers has rasied the standard and they truly enjoy doing it.

ja.stoner63 02-22-2009 01:33 PM

Waiting for the new Suspension to arrive.

Nice looking car, man I have some ideas for one of those cars. If I brought one of those in to work on One of my guys would work for free just to do a 69 or 70 mustang. I had a guy talking about one a few months ago and he was all Giddy. I'm excited to see how this one turns out, your in good hands.

EBMC 03-11-2009 06:28 PM

Wow, some serious mods in the rear! Keep posting updates!

CptKlutz 03-12-2009 01:59 PM

Clean swoop on that rear deck! And I like the shaving too.

Here are a few pictures

Wow, the time is flying by. The Ring Brother staff is amazing.

We stopped in at the end of April to see our project first hand and all I can say is it’s beyond words.

Also it was great seeing the Razor & Reactor in the same shop. What great company.

I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

Enjoy,

wow - incredible

fleetus macmullitz 06-19-2009 09:02 PM

They're very crafty.

thedude327 06-20-2009 06:09 AM

The metal fab work is incredible!!! Did these guys make the skin panels for fighter aircraft before doing custom cars? Just the way everything goes together like a metal puzzle in 3D must take an incredible amount of skill and great computer software. :hail: :hail: :hail:

Paul

J2SpeedandCustom 06-20-2009 07:59 AM

Car looks awesome JA! Can't wait to see what they do to the front end...

ja.stoner63 06-20-2009 08:21 AM

Thanks everyone!

Paul, I don't think they use computer software. They see it in the mind and are able to apply to sheet metal... It is sooo sweet.

Your right it does remind me of a Fighter aircraft. I Was in the Air Force for many years working on all the Fighters.

Maybe I should ask for some wings as well. :wow:

wiedemab 06-20-2009 09:52 AM

Who makes that front suspension setup? I've seen it before, but I can't remember where.

SPOTT 06-20-2009 09:54 AM

I think it is the one from JME enterprises.

ja.stoner63 06-20-2009 01:07 PM

That's correct JME.

If they came to you in a small size not sure what you can do, but when using this amazing viewer www.cooliris.com they got big, and there ain't nothing like it that I've seen so far.

Al Moreno 06-20-2009 10:23 PM

JA, that thing is going to be killer, you must be sicked!

On top of that, I don't think you could have found a better group of guys to work with, "The Ring Team" is first class.

Any idea on colors yet?

ja.stoner63 06-21-2009 02:21 PM

No not yet on the color...it will be hard I'm sure.:willy:
