Nope - not yet.

I will be doing the mini-tub and the flush mounted master / booster sometime in March. After that is done I am going to buy the motor.

I want to make sure i have enough to pay Kenny & Tracy

JETSET700 02-11-2009 01:21 PM

Jeff, that engine is impressive to say the least!!!

I know its horribly rude but may I ask how much it cost to build this masterpiece?

Viperlover 04-05-2009 07:16 PM

Are you planning on relocating the coils once you get it in the car? I think it looks much better without them atop the valve covers.

nvr2fst 04-05-2009 08:37 PM

Jeff, Congrats.
I know you been waiting for this one to fire up. Your research and hard work finally paid off. Plus I appreciate all the advise since day one of myself becoming a member. Once again great job!

Jr 04-05-2009 09:13 PM

Jeff,
I'm very excited for you! How cool did it sound on the dyno? I can't wait for the video.

For a rough estimate:
http://www.ls1speed.com/ for the 416

http://www.harrop.com.au/products/superchargers.html for the supercharger

customcam 04-05-2009 09:52 PM

Hovering near an LS9 price i think just the blower is 7,500k

Kendall Burleson 04-05-2009 10:19 PM

Pretty Cool!:hail: :hail: what happen to that oil pan laying on the floor behind the engine?:wow:

XLexusTech 04-06-2009 09:47 AM

I wanted to see how it stacked up against NRE and the LS9.
I agree you cant take it with you..

customcam 04-06-2009 05:00 PM

Jeff what were you hoping it would reach?

customcam 04-06-2009 11:13 PM

Simply awesome.

Darren

Jr 04-10-2009 04:06 PM

Jeff,
You have one heck of a motor on your hands! How long was the motor run on the dyno? How long until the IAT's got up in the higher range?

jcal87 04-12-2009 02:25 AM

All i can say is wow.

Jr 04-13-2009 12:02 PM

I was wondering about both duration and each pull. I know the old 112 and 122 magnachargers would be in the(IAT) high 180° range at the end of a pull. That is just crazy. I heard the new harrop designed rotors should knock off a whole lot of heat. Do you plan on running meth?

gearhead1186 04-24-2009 09:58 AM

sounds like music..

for curiosities sake... why did u go with a harrop instead of a procharger

Well, a procharger you have to make your own brackets to fit in the car. Originally, I was considering a Rotex supercharger, but Kurt Urban from W2W showed me the photos of this supercharger, and it is pulley setup. I contacted Casey Wegner of Wegner Motorsports and he set me up with the pulley setup. I like on where the A/C is mounted on this setup. Customer service from Harrop has been great!

I used procharger brackets and it fits in the engine compartent of a 1st gen.
