Video of one of our members
Here's a video of one of our members.
Video of a 69 Camaro Ok, so it's not a g-machine... but still damn cool. |
What a relief! I thought you'd found that tape I made in college.
 I can never run for public office. ;) |
Wow Scott!
First time I seen that one! Where the heck did you get that video from? I'll send you a much better one next week so you can post that for everyone to see. That was kinda on the short side but I wasn't in the mood to flip it over. It feels kinda weird when you can feel it scrape the bumper gaurds. I'm sure I'll look back on those moments and wonder what the heck I was thinking someday. Maybe I should bring it back down to Byron and let it all hang out! Kurt www.autokraft.org |
:unibrow:
I made it tonight. A friend taped it (he goes to Byron every year) and I borrowed it from him so I could extract your runs from it. I thought it was awesome. |
You can never go wrong with wheelies! Awesome video. Thanks for posting Scott. THat video was from 2 years ago so imagine what that car does now.

Surely this has been discussed before? Just curious, I'm a little confused. It's almost like the high level camaro forum...but don't get me wrong, I like it here. Rick :patriot: |
Kurt, nice car! Do you still have it?
|
Damn cool. What is it? Combo? What does it run? Bracket car? Street cat? Inquiring minds want to know?
|
wow!!... that gave me flashbacks of the first time i dragraced a superbike.... the botched launch on my part was fallowed by a mid 14 second pass @ 128 mph :D
i would imagine that pointing skyward in a drag car would give somebody a really uneasy feeling........ but sure is cool to watch  |
Kurt still has it, I saw it a few weeks ago when I was in his shop. It runs a 406, TH400 and a Dana rear. It's a true Z and it has right around 46,000 miles on it. I'm sure Kurt will chime in.

Cool Video, that's gotta be a rush :willy: |
I love it! Nice wheelie Kurt, now if I can just convince you to do it for my neighbor kids...... lol
|
Why did you stage with the rearwheels???
Well, (BJ) the owner of the track, instructed us to stage with the rear wheels since there were no bald spots on the track. We certainly didnt have to worry about wheel spin since there was maximum traction at that spot. The coolest part about that wheelie contest is I had the only car running 10in tires while the other thirty plus entries were all tubbed cars. You know what they say "You can't go wrong with a ten inch" LOL!!! Kurt www.autokraft.org |
Oh ya, It has a small block 406, turbo 400, Dana. Car is all steel minus the hood, full stock interior and is an original Z. Its a bracket car and could be street driven if I put mufflers and plates on it.
Thanks for posting the pic Scott. Kurt www.autokraft.org |
