I decided to take Randys 84 N.S.C.003 to a studio to get some good photos .A quick overview of the car for those of you who haven't seen it yet.Its a nice clean stock looking 84 with rims from the outside. We call the car The wolf in sheeps clothing. The car has one of our 427 Twin Turbos that made 1750 hp on the dyno 1100 on 91 octane,A modified 4l85e with electronic transbrake 4 speed auto trans,Currie 9 inch with 35 spline axles,The entire chassis was reinforced with a custom roll cage and custom subframe connectors,Mark at bent put rear frame rails in it and tubs to accomidate 345/35/18 bf drag radials,We injection molded the factory rear panels 3 inchs wider so the panels look stock in the interior,It has a ricks stainless gas tank with twin aeromotive a1000's in the tank,Full tubular front end with rack and pinion steering,Custom Ron Davis radiator and air to air intercooler. It's the first car we've built with our new billet collectors, turbo transistions, and symetrical billet turbos.I really love how these photos came out.

That rear shot is money. I can't wait til the third gens come into their own. These cars look so good when done right. They are capable of so much performance wise once you do something about their anemic engines.

Amazing car, Tom and Randy.

Aschle 02-09-2009 09:13 PM

This car has actually changed my mind...I was thinking about selling my 91' for a few years now, then I see this in the making and I realize.... I have to keep it and finish it how I imagined in the first place. I had a small photo shoot done back in the late 90's with Chevy High Performance magazine, they wanted to do a feature shoot on it once the engine was done, never pursued it though.... I may look into it now, even though a car like this makes mine look blah...:captain:

Thanks for the inspiration guys! You built a VERY KICK A$$ thirdgen !

Jason

MtotheIKEo 02-09-2009 10:26 PM

 I love third gens

Do the wastegates just dump into the engine bay or is there a pipe missing?

RedRyder 02-09-2009 10:32 PM

You guys are jerks. Here I was just drinking my lemonade when I stumbled across these pics. Do you know what lemonade does to a laptop???

Seriously though, that car is sweet in ways I can't even begin to explain. 1700 hp.....who does that??

Very bad ass car and I hope you put some videos up here.

groovyjay 02-10-2009 03:27 AM

That 3rd gen is in a league of its own by a long mile. The craftsmanship is next to none! :hail:

wiedemab 02-10-2009 06:02 AM

I said this on one of the other threads about this care, but I'll say it again.

That engine bay is pure SEX.

I love it, the execution in all areas is amazing! Nice work to all who were involved.

That was our goal was to revive the 3rd gens .My first car ever was a 3rd gen i had a ton of fun in that thing so we wanted to build a 3rd gen that could compete with supercars.

Compete with supercars? You build supercars...You are competing with yourself.

Tom, what car will compete or challenge this car? You guys did one hell of a job!

syborg tt 02-10-2009 11:38 AM

When you think of Hi End Car & there Builders with outrageous budgets you think of:

Rad Rides
Foose
Johnsonon Hot Rod Shop
Alloway
Just to name a few.

Well I think there is a new Guy in town that has put together an incredible team of shops to turn out the next level of Super Cars

Tom, Mark and the rest of the crew you guy's have out down yourself on this project.

Kudo's to you guy's and please do us all a favor and bring a couple pf your supercars to GG Columbus so we can all see them in person.

:hail:

tony byram 02-10-2009 02:31 PM

Man that things flat wicked looking, at first glance looks like any other third gen Camaro, but the more you look, the stance the wheels and tires.... factory custom? Love it VERY tastefully done. Hard to pull off that look. I think that this car does just that! What a great job:thumbsup:

89 RS 02-10-2009 02:38 PM

Sweet!

Tom and Randy, you guys have built the baddest third-gen I've ever seen! I hope to see Randy's Camaro in person some day. I said it before and I'll say it again, that build shows the potential of a third-gen...unreal. Definitely inspiration for my third-gen. Excellent build. :hail:

srh3trinity 02-11-2009 06:02 PM

Best third gen ever IMHO and it also ranks as one of the best Camaros ever. I have my eye on a third gen. Just waiting to buy a house. This car renewed my interest, my first two cars were third gens and I miss them both.

-Freak- 02-12-2009 04:49 PM

Any interior shots? Amazingly well done!

Rybar 02-12-2009 05:15 PM

Like I said before, must be the nicest 3rd gen on the planet.

Rupp, make sure you guys book this car for a cover and full feature. Wont find a nicer 3rd gen thats for sure.

TreySmith 02-12-2009 07:35 PM

The only thing I don't like is the headers.. They don't go along with the clean theme of the car and look like they were put on last minute..

Other than that the car looks great.

Scorpner 02-12-2009 11:57 PM

Very nice!

Maybe he says this because they do have a more raw steel appearance than all the other metals in the engine bay. I think they look great personally, but if they were polished or chrome ceramic coated it might look more balanced to him.
