Bye, Bye Baby

Well The Bucket left us today and headed out to Kansas. It wasn't with us long but we sure had a lot of fun with it. I learned a lot and the next car will be badder and better on every level. Still it's hard to see it go.

So I take it you sold it for a future project?
That was a nice looking ride for sure. What are the plans for the next project?

ironworks 02-12-2009 03:06 PM

Congrats on the sale, I bet your wheels are already turning about the next project.

Where is did you sell it? Ebay, Lat-g, craigslist? just curious what market got the car car gone in this market.

Yes and No. lol I've been out of work for months and money has gotten really tight. The plan has always been to rebuild this car or another one. This one just left a lot earlier than I wanted it to.

For the next one I'm planning DSE out back and the full ATS treatment to the front sub. LSx, 6 point roll bar and maybe a Marquez dash with a race pac setup. Color and year are undecided.

I listed the car on Craigslist, LemonFree and Old Ride Classic Cars. I asked all the callers where they had seen the car and it was a fairly even split.

Yes teal with pink stripes was a thought, but I didn't want to steal your paint choice. Besides how gay would it look if we had matching cars.

Nice car Curtis. Someone got a great car for the money.

XcYZ 02-12-2009 08:11 PM

Yes, great car... but the next one will be better.

I sure hope you still hang out with us here, Curtis!

Vegas69 02-12-2009 08:23 PM

Sorry man! I liked your car. Let's make the next one twice as bad. I'll be looking to help you since mine is damn near done.

come on curtis at least humor everyone with the price the bucket ended up going for.:(

Tom.A 02-12-2009 10:24 PM

Indeed somebody got a great car. I saw it and talked with you a little at the Optima Challenge. It sucks you had to sell it , but it's only a car and can easily be replaced.

Todd I think you just might have come up with my next project name...Twice as Bad.

Here are a few ideas for my next car. It's really a build list that Anthony and I put together before I bought The Bucket. Just didn't have the funds to do it when we re-did every thing. I've got a ton of good friends here in Vegas and I know I'll get a bit of stick time in a PT Camaro soon.

Thanks for all the support guys.

tones2SS 02-13-2009 04:51 AM

But, look on the bright the side, the next one will be even better and badder!!
Just keep us posted on updates when it does happen.
GOOD LUCK!!

R67Chevelle 02-13-2009 08:07 AM

Some one got a real nice ride... thats for sure. I was really hoping and praying things would turn around so i could take your camaro off your hands, but my situation has contined also. Very nice car clean car. I had a buyer for my chevelle 6 month back but it did not go though and have had to keep my car out in the weather so its not as clean as it once was.. Hope and pray for you and your family that thigs will turn around for you... I keept a few of your cars pictures for a reference point when things turn around... :faint:

Blessings,
AMS

When it comes to being able to drive cars with all the different suspensions and sub-frames I'm fairly lucky. Thanks to :lateral: I've got a ton of friends with different setups who are all willing to let me drive their car. There is so much out there and it's hard to know what's right for your own project. That and I now know more than a few top builders/shops who I know will take very good care of me when the time comes. My build team...Aj, Anthony, Tyler, Todd, Jesse, Russ and Andy will all be ready to go and I'm sure I'll have a few more willing to jump in and lend a hand. The next car will be twice as bad!

Guys I can't thank you for all your support. This is one of those things that many of us have gone through. Family first...means sacrifice every now and then.

Hey Curtis,

What color red is that, and whats your wheel/tire combo....hope this isnt like asking about a deceased loved one....but I'm currious...will you go with a similar wheel/tire setup like that or smaller, wider etc.

Spiffav8 10-12-2009 08:19 AM

I am on the road for work and don't have all the info with me. Set to be home for a few at the end of Nov. so if you remember, send me a PM and I'll get all the info to you...and yes I would go with the same wheel and tire setup again...only wider.
