Marquez Trunk hinges.

These things are bad ass. Both sides have a shock mount. They have some serious power.

I'm not the best photographer by any means. I have a Nikon d60 and if anyone know what settings I should use in low light, let me know, Ill reshoot them.

Thanks jcal. Yeah, I have quite a few pictures.

Also my outdated website has some. I will update it next month.
The paint code is 05 Subaru world rally blue that came on the WRX and the silver stripes are Nissan Silverstone from the 05-06 350z car. I would have to search for the actual code numbers.

I think the Marquez hinges retail for $400 and change, but they are by far better then anything else out there. They are really beefy and the shocks are beefy as well. Very high quality product.

Saw your car at the shop today Mike. I actually pulled into Eddie's shop accidentally cuz I saw your car in there and I was thinking it was Gearhead's shop!

Yeah those hinges are killer man. Nice work.

Yeah Eddie was finishing up some light paint work. Jason was nice enough to drive it to SF from Sacramento, then I drove it home from there. Yeah those hinges are sweet.

Well, the retail for more than that. Although, I got mine polished so it is closer to $499. Although, I do agree that there are the best hinge on the market.

Yeah, they will look killer on your car. When do you think you will be done with yours?

camcojb 02-22-2009 11:19 AM

yes, I really like those. Saw them in person last time I was over there, pics don't do justice. Need to do some measuring to see if I can make them work on my Chevelle.

I'm sure Jason wasn't too pissed about getting to drive your car to SF. I know I wouldn't be! :D

Yeah, he didn't seem to upset. The car is out of tune a bit, but other then that it drives great. He gets to drive all these cool toys.

I think they will be soon, or they might be now. Pascual is a really good guy, but he's so busy with his operation that he may only be making these in small quantities. You would have to call him. He and Jason are pretty good friends, and these were the only 2 sets Pascual had at the time, so I was able to get a set as well as MDprovee. I think Mike got the other set right? These things are really beefy, I mean big beef aluminum. I wish Pascual would just do parts, because he does make some of the best parts-as does The Ring bros. Call him up and see if he has any more.

The hinges really are a nice piece. The struts are very strong, so they actually will open the trunk lid all the way on their own when you turn the key!
Plus, the trunk lid feels way more steady....

Most importantly, they FIT well. Trunk alignment was a minimal effort- of course Mike's car was not easy to install them on because his trunk is finished off so well with trim & audio! Nothing's ever as easy as we'd like, right?

The extra hinge set I have will likely go on a customer's '69 Camaro Conv't or on my '68 vert. I want to see how the install goes on a droptop. Of course they both have fancy trunks with stereos too :(
