67-68 Camaro owners in here!
If you could buy a valance modified with 69 park lights, would you be interested? We have already have a valance ready to be molded, but before I go to the trouble to do it, I am taking a head count of who all would be interested. The valance looks like a 69 valance without bumper openings, but fits a 67-68. If you want to run a front bumper the holes will need cut. Some guys have done, so you know what it looks like. Post up if you might be interested.

assuming the price is reasonable I would want one.

I know several people have fabbed their own here lately, so the interest in a 67-68 lower valance with 69 round running lights is wanted by some.
I know personally I would like custom lower valance that had the round lights and perhaps some smaller/cleaner air openings in case I also decided to go bumperless on the front. Below are 2 pix I had altered in ms paint for possible cool lower valances, some time ago. 1 has the split openings but not as big as stock, and the other is a open center possibly. |
I'm in as long as long as the price is decent. Do you have any pictures of the one you are proposing to offer?

also what does holes would need to be cut mean? if you are suggesting just a flat valance then I am out if I am going to have to Fab anything on these then I will just do the whole thing myslelf

I think he is saying it would come with round light openings, but no center section cut outs, etc... just a smooth faced lower valance with mounting/openings for 69 round lights. Thats what I understand but could be wrong. They would not have bumper holes perhaps.

Hey Mike,
say, how are those "other pieces" coming along anyway? |
I was going to have one of these built but scrapped it.... interested in seeing what you come up with and pricing.
|
I would like to see it with the '69 lights outward and an opening like Jody did on his TT Camaro...since I have an IC to get air to.

This is a cool idea. I would rather run the stock valance.
I would like to see pics. |
Definitely would be in -- depending on price. Would need the RS version. Been wanting to do this for awhile.

The demand would definitely be there. I am currently building a 67 and have looked extensively for one before buying building one. This is what mine will look like when done.

any prototype pics yet?
|
I should have rough pics this week. I am finishing some other prototype parts this weekend I need to ship to Matt at Anvil very soon.

I would be in as well depending on the price.

Totally interested! I keep going back and forth now about whether to keep the front bumper or not on my 68. I always thought it made the openings look too big, but this is something that takes the eye away from that. Wasnt the front valance on that blacked out car with the flush window kit, from the guy who was sure he could build a $100k car in a few months? Cant find the thread but Im pretty sure he had 69 running lights on a 68.
