Congratulations to Mike Provencher (M D Provee)! We just dropped his 67 ProTouring Camaro off at his house yesterday so he could log in some break-in mileage. The Fuel-injected, ProCharged car made the 70 mile drive like a champ.

We will provide a larger build, photo & info story later.......

Check out a few teaser photos: custom interior & audio, 2-tone paint, full mechanical, wiring etc ALL performed by Gearhead Garage in Sacramento.

ENJOY MIKE!!!

A little feedback from a satisfied customer:

Hey Jason,

Thank you very much for the delivery. It is a great car, and drives nice. You and your crew did a great job on it.

We put the car seats in the back, and all of us went for a little ride..I had a blast, and Mitchell fell asleep. Pretty funny.

The car ran very nice, smooth, no problems. I like it alot. Very comfortable. I am very happy.

I just wanted to let you know we had fun with it, and it ran great. Thank you again. I will talk with you later.

Mike Provencher

It has been 16 years since I last drove it, what a great time. Nothing but good things to say about the Gearhead Garage crew for making such a great car. Thanks Jason for the extra effort, and the delivery. Yes we took a drive, and my oldest fell asleep. We had fun giving rides all weekend, everyone enjoyed it, I am the talk of the neighborhood.

On Sunday morning, my littlest one inspected the car, then decided it was his turn to drive. Pretty funny.

A big thanks goes to my family for all their support over the years, and especially my wife, without her support none of this would have happened.

Congrats Guy's on a nice car. Great pictures:thumbsup: Too funny about your kid sleeping. Maybe he wanted a pro-charged Big Block LOL! Have fun and go make up for the last 16 years of driving missed.

Mike, you gonna dyno this bad boy soon? From what I understand Jason pulled the base tune from my ECU and put in yours?

mdprovee 03-16-2009 05:13 PM

Thanks guys for the nice comments. It was a fun weekend, but had to work today. Hopefully get home and take a drive.

Dave,

We are going to put on about 500 miles, then take it to a dyno and start the retune, I am almost half way there now. I believe you are correct, he copied yours and put it in mine. Runs nice and smooth.

Sweet. Break in the clutch I assume? Which clutch did you go with BTW?

Yeah that tune probably works well as your setup is pretty darn close to mine. That will be fun to see the numbers.

cheater............... :D You have no idea how many hours I had in that tune, mostly due to a single plane intake that didn't play nice with the cam in the motor. :P

It was very smooth, good place to start to get yours up and running, fine tune from there.

Jody, you should have negotiated some "royalties" to be paid out for your hard work! :D

gearheadgarage 03-16-2009 07:39 PM

Sorry guys, no royalties here. WE have ALL kinds of hours getting it to run right so far. Old FAST and new design FAST system are NOT interchangeable. Sounded like a good idea at the time, but no love!! Many thanks to Mark Romans:P

Hope so Dave!!

The rear suspension is 2" DSE lower springs, minitub, 12 bolt rear, QA1 shocks. 17" wheels.

XcYZ 03-17-2009 06:36 AM

Looks great, Mike! How much do your kids love riding in it?

rich-allen 03-17-2009 07:18 AM

Yeah they love it. I spent a few minutes playing with the stereo trying to learn how to work it, and each one wanted a turn "driving".

Thanks guys for the comments, and thanks Gearhead Garage for the great job.

Congrats Mike, I had the pleasure of watching the guys at Gearhead Garage work on your car the many times I consulted with Jason on the planning of my car. Your car was a big hit at the California Autorama. Tony

Hey thanks and welcome Tony, your's is going to be even better. I need to get back up there to see yours and Dave's cars. It will be fun getting a bunch of us cruzing together. Maybe we'll have to take over some place one of these days. Are you guys coming to Pleasanton?

We went out for a ride last night. We dropped off my boys at my parnets house for their weekly overnight stay. They kept asking me to go faster daddy. They love the excelleration. My wife and I went to show some family members, then go to dinner. It was a blast driving down the freeway with all the guys giving a thumbs up and smiles. My wife just laughs, she said it's like a good looking girl strutting by. I said it is a girl strutting by. It was a blast.

gearheadgarage 03-20-2009 08:48 AM

Dave, It is the same Tony- the one we're building the '69 RS/SS Pro-Touring Camaro for. Just got his car back from paint, off the dolly & onto the lift! We'll post some photos soon.....

Tony722 03-20-2009 09:44 AM

Yes Dave I met you and Mike at Gearhead a few times. This is a great websight to share our cars. I see your car is coming along nice. Jason just received my car from paint. A new hot cam is out so Jason and I talked about it and he is installing a cam for me. Cars like yours and Mike's have inspired me to do more and more to the car. Mert and Johnny tell me that Mike's car is faasst! Tony

Tony722 03-20-2009 09:51 AM

Hi Mike, I'm going to Pleasanton with Gearhead guys. Hope your wife won't mind all the girls that your car will attract. lol.

Flash68 03-20-2009 12:53 PM

Good stuff guys. I really look forward to doing some cruising with ya'all and the Gearhead band of Camaros!

I might be out of town Saturday and if so would hit Good Guys on Sunday. Will you guys still be there then?

mdprovee 03-20-2009 01:07 PM

Beautiful Car!!Just in Time for the rest of your life...especially with such young boys. They have a lot of great memories to make with that wicked ride. Remember, someday they will ask you "let them take it for a drive".
