C6-57 11 days till Del Mar.

Well I keep getting emails and phone calls on the C6-57 truck so I thought I would keep you guys posted as to the details and the progress for the next 11 days. So here is the gauge cluster, the center console with some stainless. I hope to get the shifter console installed tommorrow. I just sent the file to water jet the stainless. Plus the Door stiker bolts we made up.

Wait till you see the brake, clutch and gas pedals all done. Here is concept sketch from Solidworks. I'm waiting on the self lubricated Delrin rollers to mount the stainless sleeves to make the rollers for the gas pedal.

The gauge cluster is not the one we had trouble with, It is a gauge cluster we had Redline gauge works make for us a while back.

Here are two pics of the gas pedal we had RFR fabrication machine for us after Eric and I worked on the design togther in Solidworks.

Brent I was wondering what happened to you, I will be in Pleasanton with John's(Novanutcase) and Brian's(Brian Mc) novas in the "Chassisworks" Booth. It should be a fun weekend up there.

Well Guys I missed posting pics for ya last night, I was pretty tired and it was my birthday, SORRY.

So here are some pics with the Black shockwaves installed and The majority of everything back here is done. I just need to fill the diff with oil today.

I had the center console stainless piece water jet cut yesterday and the cut the piece backwards. So when it installs in the truck the decorative pattern you saw behind the AC controls in facing down. Well I just finally found a spare pices to be able to cut the material out of. I tell you nobody had that stuff yesterday, NOBODY. Well I found a company called rigidized metals in New York that had what I needed. So we are back in business.

We should have the seat back installed today, and hopefully get the stack bases repainted and installed, It is looking good, but we have along way to go. We should have the alternator bracket / Powersteering resirvoir back from the machine shop and working on that later today, I'm waiting on the rollers for the gas pedal.

ironworks 03-27-2009 07:32 AM

The headers are coated in a special mix ceramic coat from Specialized Coatings in Huntington Beach.

We I'm off to Pleasanton with to nova in my trailer bound for The Chassisworks booth. Only 5 days of work left. It is coming along nicely.
