Been a long time coming...

But it's finally here. This is my Wayne Due subframe that uses Art Morrison components, AGR power Rack, QA1 coilovers, Speedway sway bar, etc, etc. I can't wait to tear into the car.

Dang scott, totally worth the wait!! :D

DCreations 10-01-2005 03:38 PM

What size rim and tire do you plan to run scott? :)

Rick Dorion 10-01-2005 04:59 PM

A work of art ! What finish are you going to apply?

JamesD 10-01-2005 06:33 PM

Looks cool, should have lots of room for those turbo down pipes. Why did you go with the art components rather than c4/c5 stuff?

Nutsy 10-01-2005 07:22 PM

Just curious,

What made you choose the Art Morrison setup vs. the C4 or C5 setup that Wayne Due does?

Musclerodz 10-01-2005 11:51 PM

Looks nice Scott. You have collected quite a few parts the last few months. Makes me think you might be working on it shortly. :_paranoid How is the Due frame set up to perform?

Mike

XcYZ 10-02-2005 09:35 AM

Thanks guys. It most likely be powder coated black and I like the idea of powder coating the spindles and control arms silver.

I chose the Art Morrison setup over the C4/C5 because of the track width, I didn't want the high positive offset wheels. This setup is VERY close to being stock.

The geometry and components are the same that Morrison used on the 55 Chevy that they got to pull over 1g on the skid pad.

I'll be swapping out the inner section of my wheels to make them 18x10's and I'll either do a 275 or a 285 of front. Modular wheels are great.

907rs 10-02-2005 10:02 AM

Cool! Keep us posted on the progress.

*EDIT* Will a 10" wheel clear the stock inner fenders?

evilzee28 10-02-2005 10:48 AM

More pics, more pics, more pics !! looking good Scott, when d'ya think it'll hit the road again?? :)

XcYZ 10-02-2005 02:42 PM

Bill, I'll section the inner fenderwells.

Looks great Scott. Should be great when done.

69Nova 10-02-2005 03:18 PM

Nice project. When you modify your inner finders please post some info and pics, because I would like to do the same on my car.

Looks Great Scott. Cant wait to see some progress pics.

Steve1968LS2 10-02-2005 07:51 PM

Way cool.. that is what I was thinking of running at first. From what I understand they put a lot of work into those components.

You will like the AGR rack, nice unit..

almcbri 10-03-2005 09:43 AM

man that is some incredible work.
Are you going to make it for next years Power Tour with the car?

Steve Chryssos 10-03-2005 10:54 AM

Welcome to the tubular clip club. Wayne Due sure can weld!! That will be a very special car when complete. AME has shown that MII uprights can corner. Now you'll be able to confirm.

Ricochet 10-03-2005 12:23 PM

It's about time you posted some pics of that thing!! :D Looks like a killer piece! Not surprising from Wayne though. We'll Scott, looks like one more hurdle conquered. Now you only have 391 left until she's complete! LOL!

One more month & we'll be in Vegas. As Austin Powers would say..Yeah Baby!!

Datsbad 10-03-2005 07:51 PM

XcYZ 10-03-2005 08:19 PM

Yep, what Jody said. :) There are different options, so prices can vary. If you're interested, definitely give Wayne a call; he was great to work with.

And be sure to tell him I sent you.

Datsbad 10-03-2005 08:24 PM

how are those rubber bushings going to perform in those arms . there nothing special are they?

also those brakes offered i assume can be deleted?

XcYZ 10-04-2005 06:27 AM

They're not rubber. If you're interested, just give Wayne a call, he can walk you through all the options.

Ummgawa 10-04-2005 12:55 PM

jake

XcYZ 10-06-2005 06:43 AM

Is that a problem, Jake?

68protouring454 10-06-2005 07:47 AM

yeah it is a problem, it seems on threads here and there there are replys missing, like they were there but now dissapeared, and i was just wondering the reason why. one of my old posts a while back had the same thing happen and i have only noticed it here on lateral g. as 907 said it was a problem, so your saying its not????
jake

XcYZ 10-06-2005 07:53 AM
