That was a nasty hit... Any idea on the story behind this?

Some 16 year old kid without license and insurance was dicking around in his moms Expedition Or Escalade trying to show off and hit him.

70rs 05-09-2009 08:50 PM

So the 2010 Camaro used parts business has officially started.
It was only a matter of time.

Seriously, I do hope no one was hurt in this. It does look like a pretty hard hit. The passenger compartment looks like it held up ok.

jcal87 05-09-2009 08:54 PM

this is probably a stupid question but what the hell is that white stuff?

TreySmith 05-09-2009 08:56 PM

It's muffler fluid, duh!

jcal87 05-09-2009 08:58 PM

TreySmith 05-09-2009 08:59 PM

ohcbird 05-09-2009 09:41 PM

Rhino 05-10-2009 08:03 AM

If you look at his photobucket account, he hasn't had good luck with Camaros

This pic is entitled "My Poor IROC"

Posted that before...they're HUGE!:willy:

acohoon 05-10-2009 01:19 PM

This is the second one I have heard of being wrecked. The pace cars for the Indianapolis 500 were in Louisville a few weeks ago and when they were in the process of moving them one of the drivers rolled through a stop sign and got its front end taken off.

I had assumed that it was the photobucket account of the owner. Sorry about that. It's no fun seeing your project reduced to scrap.

67CAMARORS 05-10-2009 08:16 PM

no problem ,got a 67 camaro out of the deal

I wasn't talking about the accident anymore...

Some people can't take a joke...

Any word on what engine was in the car?

XcYZ 05-11-2009 05:42 AM

That was a big hit. I wonder how fast the other vehicle was going?

Looks like a 5 MPH impact. Typical of new cars made of plastic and rubber.

Seriously? I would guess at least 20mph impact.

I think he was being a little facetious. ;) Your estimate is probably a little more accurate.

Ventoso 05-11-2009 08:07 AM

Circa 1960 Chevrolet wanted their styling back, so they opened a rift in the time continuum and this happend.

67CAMARORS 05-11-2009 06:47 PM

that sounds about right. I was hit a couple months ago in my truck and it buckled the bed at 45. I cannot imagine getting hit in a car at that speed or more.
