Do "Save As" and save a copy. Then resize the copy. Or, set up a photobucket account and upload them directly. There are some threads detailing this process. Try a search.

thanks for the compliments.ill have to look thrue my pictures for in progress shots.not many people it seems cut there drip rails off.i went to a few shows lately and no one had theres done.thats good for me cause im trying to be different in the sea of camaros.ive done a few subtle mods to the car that only the people really into cars will notice

It's amazing how similar our tastes are. This mod along with flush mount glass is a long-time goal. I would love to do that to my 68 but have been hesitant because I haven't seen too much on the "how" part. Did you cut the whole rail off in pieces and weld it as you went? Did the caulking/sealer give you problems with the welding? How did you control the warping? What did you use to get such a clean edge?

They look sweeet!! I dont know how the heck you got em sooo straight! I welded in some round bar to make sure things were perfect!

The rails look GREAT!! Not to take away from your great work but Ill show how I did mine. Prolly similar. JR
The original drip rails. Ugly IMO, and useless for me, I dont drive in the rain with the window down. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...Nova/start.jpg Then I scraped out all the old caulking to see the body lines better and make it possible to cut the drip rails off. After scraping and cleaning I peeled the drip rail down with channel lock pliers to get more room and visibility. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...Nova/bent2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...Nova/bent3.jpg So my idea was to use a thin cutoff wheel to take small slices off, tack welding every four inches. Well that didnt work!! Im not good enough with the cutoff wheel, it would skip off the cut, onto the hood and I wasnt liking that. So I taped off a nice line and broke out the plasma cutter, what a dream that thing is. So with the plasma torch and MIG torch draped over my shoulder I started to cut. Zip, four inches, tack, zip, tack, zip tack. It was about 1 minute each side, they were gone and the hood was still in place. I split the difference in distance all the while till I was tacking right next to tacks, melting them all together. Its ugly but really solid. I know there is a solid continuous weld bead under all them lumps of tacks. Well sorta. After sanding the tacks down I did have a couple pin holes. I zapped them closed and sanded smooth. Came out alright. I like the look better and its only at tops a two hour project.
