I was booking my ticket for the GoodGuys Columbus Event and saw this on the website
Attachment 17683 The Roadster Shop, chassis specialists and builder’s of the Goodguys Speed ’33 Giveaway Car are pleased to announce the debut of Barry Blomquist’s 1962 Corvette “C1RS.” The ground-hugging ‘Vette will make its official debut at the Goodguys 12th PPG Nationals as a contender for the 2009 Goodguys/Air Ride Technologies Street Machine Of The Year Award. Boasting hundreds of custom built one-off parts and body modifications with concept car styling, it’s sure to be a popular G-Machine. C1RS also marks the debut of The Roadster Shop’s new C1 chassis which is currently in production. Look for it in the Builder’s Choice parking area and of course on the special Friday-only Street Challenge PPG Nationals Autocross! |
That car looks sick!

I saw pictures of this car during the mock-up stages, I loved it then even with the Fawn Beige paint. I guess this explains why all the pictures have disappeared from their site - keeping it stealth.

We have been getting a lot of questions about the car, so here is a little teaser on it. We are finishing up assembly and will have a build thread started in the next week or so.

Naughty. I like it.
Great front end re-do, the lights are amazing looking. I see Brembo brakes, remote res coil-over shocks and an LSX with a Kinsler intake. What's not to love? Tyler |
can't wait to see it
|
That front end looks awesome! Almost looks 'animated'. Great work. Good luck on the quest for SMOY.

Tylers descriptive use of Naughty seems very fitting.
For some reason I hear the intro music to the movie Heavy Metal when I look at this car. I like it! :captain: |
Wow looking goood
Are they porsche front lights? The engine bay looks amazing  More pics please |
sick ! I hope they don't use too much offset (deep dish) in the back.
For my taste that super deep look is too much. |
Very cool and wish I could see it in person ... guess pics will have to suffice.
Cheers, Mary Pozzi |

Thanks to everyone else for the positive response. I will have a lot more pictures going on the car's own build thread shortly. |

That ride is bad! Can't wait to see more pics.

These guys are on top of their game. This is the best yet, and a great way to introduce the new Corvette frames. If I had a Top 5 vote, this is one of them.

I've got my airplane tickets for Columbus Good Guys, flying from Cali with my son. Can't wait to see it.
I moved from Florida to Cali and was excited about all the car show out here. Now I'm flying to Ohio. It's a sickness. Yes, my name is Al Moreno and I am an Addict. :captain: |
OMG, I think I'm in love! :wow:

I bet this post would go in the opposite direction on the Corvette Forum..."completely ruined a perfectly good car!", "wheels are too big", "dumb rubber-band tires!", "that car was perfect before they hacked it up!" I'll take mine in red...with a working soft top though! Nick |
Started a build thread on the C1-RS. This will have a good build history of the car.
