Are there any sponsors on this site that can give me a deal on some dynamat xtreme>?

Cheapest I found was on ebay and I paid about $135 shipped for a 36sq ft box. Locally it was almost twice that. The shipping shocks the hell outta you cause most ebayers charge 35-40 for shipping for each box no matter how many you buy but overall it was still the cheapest way to go. I used 6 boxes on a 55 2 door sedan but that did all the doors, floor, roof, trunk, and sides. I think you should start out with at least four boxes and go from there. I'm doing a 55 Nomad and for the floor I used two boxes. HTH.

E Bay guys retail it for less then my local distributor sells to us wholesale. I buy it on E Bay

While I did not use dynamat, It took about 110 sq feet of Second Skin's Damplifier Pro to line the inside of my 68. I covered the doors outerskin and behind door panels, outer skins of the quarterpanels and behind the reas seat panels, firewall and floorboard. I haven't lined the roof or behind the sail panels yet, but I figure it will take about 40 more sq feet.

eBay always has the best prices on Dynamat.
Just make sure you buy the real Dynamat Extreme product. There are lots of cheap knock offs on ebay that are made out of asphalt, which melts at 180 degree, is toxic, and has a foil that is half as thick as the foil on Dynamat Extreme and not capable of killing nearly as much noise and vibration. Just make sure it is the real deal when you buy! ANT |
just how can you tell the real deal Ant?

2. Looks for the actual words "Dynamat Extreme" in the main page, not just the title. There are lots of people selling crap roofing tar with foil on it; things that looks like a vibration damper but perform much differently (in a bad way). Usualy they use the word " Dynamat" in the title to get you to click, but very often it is not dynamat. 3. if it comes on a roll, it is not dynamat Extreme. Any foil backed material that is ona roll started out as a roofing tape. There is exeption to this rule. Sound deadening companies do not put sound deadeners on a roll. (Though dynamat does crunk up their trunk kit and stuff it in a box, kind of rolled up like, but that is not on a roll.) 4. Look for a picture. If you see the Dynamat box, that is helpful. 5. Also look at the quantity. a bulk pack of Dynamat Extreme has 9 sheets in it, Each one is 18"x 32" = 4 sq feet. I once saw an ebay ad for a dynamat Bulk pack that was cheaper thant he rest. In the fine print the guy said that he took out one sheet from each box, becuase there was no reason anyone would ever need that many sheets. So really, you were buying 32 sq feet, not 36 I know it is unusual for the owner of a sound deaening compnay to give advice on how to buy a competitors product, but I don't mind. Just make sure you CYA when you buy on eBay ANT |
Maybe you could run a promo Ant or just give me a Damn good deal :D I will be looking shortly after finishing my floor and trunk so maybe we can work a package up. Brandon
