Coolest Car....

This has got to be, in my opinion, one of the neatest, and most unique cars I have ever seen. I am a huge WW2 plane fanatic, so I am in love, and for this to be street legal in mind-boogling...How would you like to pull into the local cruise night in this thing? My hat is tipped to the builder...awesome creativity, and unbelievable worksmanship. I predict north of 250K for this one. Damn MegaMillions Jackpot, when will you come through....

Jeff's Dream Car

Derek69SS 10-18-2005 08:24 AM

clill 10-19-2005 08:57 AM

I have not bumped into Leno at shows. He does sometimes come to the Mopar Spring Fling in Socal. I did get to meet him and tour his shop a couple years ago. He is not bidding as far as I know. I just think he would be a good owner for the car

Machine09 10-20-2005 01:09 PM

That car is sweet!

I disagree.

:D

jonny51 10-20-2005 08:12 PM

Well unless there is some heavy bidding on it soon it looks like it's not coming anywhere near it's reserve.

race-rodz 10-20-2005 10:07 PM

that car would be perfect for delivering mail...or newspapers or ??
otherwise the RHD would take some gettin used to. :D

Musclerodz 10-20-2005 11:39 PM

Somebody had a stupid amount of money to blow to build that. Absolutely incredible workmanship. That Rolls Royce is somewhere around 1500ci, and $50K to just overhaul one. I bet he spent $500K building it.

Mike

jonny51 10-21-2005 12:27 AM

I think it's 1650 ci and it cost 1 million to build

trapin 10-24-2005 11:43 AM

Wow...that thing is crazy.

How'd you like to be the guy that had to hand-paint all those rivets? :D

clill 10-29-2005 08:21 PM

For Sandlins 8 turbos...since he outed me

Stuart Adams 10-29-2005 08:34 PM

Cool, Chas. That is one cool car, congrats. The people of Woodland are going to freak!! That will even scare the dogs...

XcYZ 10-29-2005 08:39 PM

Charley, I'd love to get some video of that beast - I just gotta know what it sounds like.

Derek69SS 10-29-2005 08:42 PM

 :hail: All it needs now, is 16 turbos ;) :D

jonny51 10-29-2005 09:52 PM

Just plain nice, now for that burnout in the neighbor's driveway! :burnout:

Bill Howell 10-29-2005 11:15 PM

It would be interesting to hear the conversation with Haverty's on that one. Any frame or engines mods? If so please list. :willy:

Congrats C

Musclerodz 10-30-2005 12:11 PM

Well if anyone has ever heard a P-51 overhead at an airshow, that will give you some idea of the sound. One of the sweetest sounding WWII engines made. Congrats Charley. I don't think W2W is qualified to tune this one.

Mike

Ummgawa 10-30-2005 06:44 PM

XcYZ 10-30-2005 08:13 PM
