I-forged wheels problems...
Anyone use this company for wheels? Nothing but problems, excuses and going on 3 months for a set of wheels that were promised in 4 -6 weeks. I still don't have a completion date...No customer service I call and talk to Peter on a weekly basis they don't have a clue what's going on!
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. |
isnt that also intro wheels ? dave at intro is awesome to deal with . try to call him .
|
We use to be a dealer for them...This is why we have our own wheel line coming out now:yes: ....didn't really want to hijack your thread or coming out to soon with on new stuff....but we will be doing a gp soon once all of our new styles are finished up.
Jeff - Give us a call I will give a great deal on one of our new styles and we can get some out the door quick for you. ...I have certain sizes in stock now. 913-558-1100.. Be glad to help Taylor |
I only sold a few sets. They have a very condensending tone when you talk to them.
Not on my list of availlable wheels now |
They can be tough to deal with. Ive owned a few sets of them. I will say for the price they cant be beat. I plan on buying a second set of wheels when I get my car done and it will be iforged. Did you order direct from Venice? Heres my last set on my 350z

Kenny your thinking of ID Luxury wheel which is part of Intro.
i forged is different. |
I-forged used to be cut by Intro back in the day like 6 years ago or so. Not sure if they still do the wheels for them.

http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/4951/img0841n.jpg These are the fronts 19x9 I will post the rears later 20x12 here is our first set of production wheels split 7 spoke aka "swaggers" we built for a customers car. We will be offering wheel and tire packages.. |
Sorry to say, but HRE and iforged have been known for years for their high prices and poor quality. Lots of quality control issues and general problems on nearly every forum I've ever been on. :(
There are tons of wheel manufacturers out there worth supporting. I hope you're able to get your wheels, but if I was in your position I would contact my credit card company and let them resolve it. That'll get it resolved quickest. |
I had a set of 19" IForged Aeros on my M3...very nice wheels, but took 12weeks to get...

I still have yet to see any quality problems with IForged or HRE wheels, besides customer service with IForged,I think both maker produce are great wheels,I guess it might depend if you're dealing with distributor or directly with the company,I got HRE 540R 20x11 & 20x13 for my widebody Lexus GS400 Twin Turbo in a jiffy

I'm dealing direct with I-forged, just very dissappointed with their "customer" service. My customer really wanted these wheels I couldn't talk him into anything else, and now he knows why I didn't want to use them. I DO NOT treat my customers this way so I expect the same in return.
I've never had problems with Intro, CCW, or Fikse. Dave and Lynn at Intro are my favorite to work with! |
I know forgeline has excellent customer service and are fantastic to deal with even with a complicated customer like myself.

Had a few friends in the Mopar LX community that had delivery issues, build quality issues, and also structural issues. iForged is well known on just about any forum for having many issues. But HRE seems to have their number as well. My experience with the ranger rover wheels was a joke. There were also a number of issues with the wheels being banned by Viper racing leagues and maybe a few others. I stopped keeping track. http://www.nobleforums.com/showthread.php?t=346 http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...ng-banned.html http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/s...&postid=322919 I've seen first hand how those wheels hold up under street conditions. Was my experience a rare one? Apparently not. Beautiful wheels, but for the price, I'd rather support forgeline, ccw, BBS, or kinesis. I consider HRE the lamborghini of the wheel world. Nice jewelry. |

Just like John Hennessey  I highly recommend giving John from CCW a call. Great company to deal with. |
I realize in track conditions this happens to many wheels, but for the money you're paying for a "forged" stronger wheel, I don't want to be one of these guys at the track.
http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/1...720issuesh.jpg http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/6...139issuesh.jpg I cracked a nice set of 'forged' wheels from a different company on my previous car. The company was D-forged. Perhaps someone can correct me, but I've been told by numerous people that the same barrels, faces and parts are supplied out of china these days. Hence so many of the companies having the exact same or similar designs? Who knows... iForged has a much worse rep than HRE, thats for sure. |
Never heard of HRE issues and I know of countless Porsches that run them without issue, and drive them pretty damn hard on 19s and 20s. Hell, I hit a curb recently with mine and they held up pretty damn good!
|
This is exactly why I bought RACING wheels for the track. Thicker hats, more spokes, step lip, etc...
|
I just talked to a buddy that bought IForged wheels and he was promised 3 to 4 weeks max... It took 13

as far as I could tell, there is nothing about broken HRE wheels in those links, but Kinesis wheels, and if theese morons want to ban particular brand of wheels, why don't they ban cars in general? they break too,ban axles as they break, ban tires ,cause they blow, ban engines ,cause they fail, throw rods,e.t.c.,ban glass ,cause it breaks  ,I'm sure any wheel under heavy loads race after race will show stress fractures,BBS included CCW are pretty good wheels, but I'm sick of looking at them,as 75% of Supra owners have a set of CCW Classics and I'm a Supra fanatic:woot: |

http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/9...res-again.html http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/9...hre-wheel.html I'm not insulting a member of your family or anything. I stated my own experience and observations of HRE. Take it or leave it. I'd take my money to one of the many great companies out there. HREs are pretty too look at, but you'll never see a set on my car. |

I'm still a dealer for iForged and HRE. I typically quote iForged purchases at 8-10 weeks, which seems about right based on my deliveries from them. I make a point to never underquote a delivery to my customers, I'd rather over-estimate and hope it comes in sooner for them.
Never had a problem with HRE deliveries. I had the set built for my Z06, even with custom paint match, in 4 weeks. They do cost quite a bit more, but some customers just want that brand. Tony |
so when president of HRE offers to help,it's still a bad customer service? LOL,
The only thing I do not like about HRE wheels,is that lips need alot of attention,if HRE would anodize them ,I would be very happy and I'm sure the rest of HRE wheel owners, but I'm planning to powdercoat the whole wheel black,:_paranoid :brix: anyways, I thought this thread was about IForged bad service , |

HRE's customer service is Excellent, I had one of my HRE wheels damaged during an accident? I called HRE and and spoke with Vincent and sent him the wheel for an estimate. He emailed me an estimate the day after he got it and it was 20% less than the prices he quoted me over the phone for the Assembly/Disassembly, re-polishing the face and fixing and repolishing the barrel. They have the best customer service in the wheel industry. Well out of all of the companies I've ever dealt with, so far.
|
I've had such good expriences with several wheel companies (Rushforth, Forgeline, Boze, etc) that I see no reason to deal with one that has "issues".
If you have problems with a company then vote with your wallet.. |
Never had any issues with HRE, I am one of their dealers and have them on 8 of my cars. I wouldn't trust any other wheel do this with...

Your own experiences with HRE notwithstanding - the first two pictures that you posted and the three posts that they reference have nothing to do with HRE. As was pointed out previously the second wheel is not even an HRE piece. If anyone looks into those posts (and their history) in some detail (from the background behind them to the truth behind the posts) it's an excellent example of how the internet can be manipulated for personal reasons and how unsubstantiated claims online can have long lasting effects even if they are hollow accusations. The fact that you continue to reference them is proof of that... I understand that you had a bad experience (and IIRC there were some issue the the range rover wheels at the time) but redredging ancient history doesn't add anything useful to the discussion. Reading the 6speed post I was impressed that HRE was willing to work with someone who had 5 year old wheels that has been modified in any capacity. Now I do have HRE's on the Camaro and I have dealt with HRE's service department and I was very happy with how quickly the helped me (with an issue that was 100% my fault). As Steve said, there are plenty of great wheel manufacturers and vendors - Rushforth, HRE, Forgeline, etc. - out there and it up to you to make your choice who you buy from. Of the three listed there I would not hesitate to buy any of them. |
