When is the first gen leaf spring type sway bar going to be available?

JamesJ 08-12-2009 07:58 PM

Stuart, if I'm not mistaken they are manufacturing these on their bender in-house as well.

I was also excited to see the Quadra-Link for the '62-'67 Chevy II's at Columbus. I've grown up around these cars (Dad has had several) and as soon as I can liquidate a few of my other cars, I will hopefully be in the market for a '66 or '67 to outfit with some DSE goodies.

Anyone have more info about DSE's quadra-links for the 62-67 Nova's? I seen the wheel tubs on there web site but nothing about the suspension.

wiedemab 08-25-2009 08:23 AM

I'm not sure they are in full production yet. They showed them at Columbus Goodguys. I'm sure when they are in production they will have them on their site. I didn't think that would be an issue to post it up here since they showed it in the new products section at Columbus.

The fact that they are working on the Chevy II's has me trying to sell my Mustang and some other projects to find and fund a Chevy II build!

I have a 62 and have been waiting for five years for them to do stuff for the early novas. More time to save up the money. Hopefully we'll see it soon. Did DSE have any front suspension pieces on display for the early novas?

Not yet, but I think they will get there eventually. I can't wait either. I have always loved the early Novas.

In some of the project photos on the DSE website you can see an early red nova in the back ground. Maybe a new test car?

I think that is the case. I'm not sure what kind of ETA for any other products. If you can't tell, I'm excited about this stuff!

buck171 08-26-2009 05:33 PM

Same here, can hardly wait!

Yeah Kyle has had a Nova in there for a couple years working on that stuff, should be good.

I wonder how low this hangs and with the zerk fitting pointed toward the ground is there enough room. Just making an observation.

That car belongs to my dad and I,we loaned it to them to develop the early Nova front and rear.the quadra-link is done and they are working on the front now, we will likely give them a 67 that is in better shape to use as a test car to avoid all the restoration and paint headaches.

Nice - I need to find them a car to loan to have the suspension put in it! J/K.

I want a '66' or '67 so bad I can't stand it, but I have to sell my stupid Mustang!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhh.

I almost gave in and bought a second gen Camaro a few years ago. I like them, don't get me wrong, but the Chevy II's are my first choice. I'm glad I waited! Well, wait may not be the right way to describe it. It's a good thing it takes me forever to get a project done! ;)

Awesome! Thanks for the reply Stuart and Tim.

They now have the capability to make custom sway bars for you.

buck171 09-01-2009 07:14 AM

Tim
Do you know or can you say whether the front suspension DSE is working on for the early novas is an all new frame and suspenion or suspension components to use on its current frame?

It's a new subframe like the one for the camaros.

That is what I thought, but I wasn't sure.

No....I looked at the photos after my post. I do like the attachment hardware for the frame.
