Turbo LS Powered Regal

This is my personal vehicle.
I have owned the car for about 3 years now.
Last night I started mocking up the LS block and heads in the car.
I'll post some more details later, but here are some pics.

Enjoy,
Jeff

Nice sticking nwith the turbo theme in the car. It looks like there is tons of room under the hood there. Keep the updates coming. It's going to be a really cool and unique car when done.

Very cool. Looks like you have plenty of room to work with as well.
Body work looks good.

Love the G-bodies. I have two myself a Regal and a Monte SS. Keep up the good work. I love those SPC upper a-arms.

That is cool project. I like how the rims almost look similar to the original type wheel that was factory.

Why did you go with a 5" dp? Is this a 347ci motor? What kind of turbo is that?

waynieZ 09-10-2009 02:37 PM

Sweet project and nice work.

Have you checked out ls1tech? Guys usually run 3", 3 1/2" and rarely 4" dp on the ls projects. Some people tried to run 5" downpipes but lost TQ down in the bottom range of the curve. Also, running a 5" dp will hurt the spool time of the turbo. I have been doing tons of research because I would like to run a single turbo in my camaro.

Very cool project, Regals have always been my favorite of the G-bodies. I like the turbo tie in, too.

You should work something like this into the theme of it..

I can officially say I am jealous. Awesome Regal.

srh3trinity 09-11-2009 06:52 AM

There are few things I like more than seeing an IC peak through a grill. I definitely need to own a turbo car at some point in my life.

Yea I know. Its more of a for looks thing. I'm not worried about power loss, she is giong to have enough torque to compensate.

ElkyZO6 09-11-2009 07:15 AM

This is going to be one killer regal. Keep up the good work and keep the pic's comin.

GBodyGMachine 09-12-2009 03:45 PM

Made the Alternator relocation brackets today as well as a T-stat housing. Needed it for belt clearance.

GBodyParts.com offers a front chin spoiler the goes the whole way across the front bumper. Kinda like the early Hot Air GN's had!
